Oh man THANK YOU for posting this! What a joy it must have been for the members of Pearl Jam to get to play with the GREAT ACE FREHLEY! And Ace was on the money here. He was absolutely terrific. All the things we adore about Ace, he gave us in this performance! Ace IS GOD.
Ace Frehley, the heavy lidded m-'f'er who can bend a string into the next year is still rockin as hard as he ever has.Listen closely to some of his newer stuff. Hes hard and fresh!!! Hes in my book with paige, van halen and even the slow cat joe walsh !!! I dig Ace even more 30 years later!
My God, I remember every note of this song, though its been over 40 years since I heard it. I really liked this one. Hope he had as good a time playing it as I had enjoying it.
i'm here because of "that metal show" as mike mccready reveals he and pearl jam will hold out their induction into the rock n' roll hall of fame so that kiss can get in. eddie trunk went nuts!
i was at the show in Atlantic City in 2005, when Ace came out we were goin nuts but then they broke into Rockin in the Free World... odd choice. i was like wtf play some Kiss... this is more like it
@pilate10 Might be the first time folks have heard 'Cready sing at a Pearl Jam gig, but, he sang and played lead on "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" at a mid-1990's Hendrix tribute show at Memorial Stadium in Seattle during Bumbershoot. Even finished it off with a "fuck Alan Douglas!" Can't find it on here so far, though, but, it happened.
Probably so Eddie can induct yet another legendary band in that lucky bastard got to do The Doors and Ramones but hey anything to get KISS and the original line up together again works for me
Not so much a fan of post-Jack Irons Pearl Jam, but, I do enjoy clips such as this one where the band's true influences are brought to the front and blow Vedder's annoying attempts to turn Pearl Jam into a punk or punk-influenced band completely out of the water.
DrummerDan973 Depends. Is Pearl Jam really the type of band that calls for a drummer like that though? If you really feel Cameron's a good fit then so be it. I disagree and am content to leave it at that rather than re-hash a 15 year old argument, which it is.
The most Ironic thing that KISS said about the original reunion in 96 was, they were doing this for the fans who were in need of seeing a REAL rock show, unlike bands of that era, who stood still on stage, wearing flannel shirts, with their hands in their pockets (EDDIE VEDDER)........But everyone knows they did it for MONEY!
Ace...one of the most underrated guitarist of all time
If anyone deserves an 'under' rating, it's AF.
Nice to see grunge musicians showing respect to rock's forefathers.
Just love this, you can see how big fans they are playing with one of their musical heroes.
Ace is a frickin' living legend!

Ace just adds so much cool to everything, like smoke off of a good cigar, cool breeze from the ocean. just style.
Holy Cow. That gave me chills. Ace Rules.
Mr. Paul Daniel Frehley, blowin' out eardrums for 40 years.

Not a Kiss fan (I like a few songs from their 70s era), but Ace Frehley has always impressed me. He is a living legend! 🎸
I'm sure the guys in pearl jam big Kiss fans and the chance to perform with Ace Frehley.
MSG,where Kiss has performed many shows over the years, and hometown boy Paul Daniel Frehley back home.

cigarette lighters replaced by cell phones!!! awesome clip!!!
The lead guitarist sounded like Paul Stanley and the drummer like the Catman Peter Criss and a bit of Eric Carr too.
Probably so Eddie can induct yet another legendary band in that lucky bastard got to do The Doors and Ramones but hey anything to get KISS and the original line up together again works for me
awck!
I never knew Mike fronted Pearl Jam... even if it was just for one song!

Matt blows Jack out the water .

It will not happen, they blew their second and third chance.
lol, whats with the dudes dancing all gayish to Black Diamond on the right?
They are extremely happy. This is a moment that you will never recreate.
Not me.
Trump 2020. His vision is perfect.
