This is certainly superior to other self guided robot methods. A lot of co bots you just kind of move one joint at a time to get to some point you want where this controller allows you to just move whatever direction you want and it takes care of the joint movements.
Ljubomir Pajic of course they do, but this type of knob right at the eoat is completely different than holding a pendant. Plus the pendant moves in x,y,z world coordinates based on how you installed and calibrated the robot but this knob allows you to move in completely abstract linear paths each containing x,y, and z with respect to the robots world coordinates. I program UR’s at work constantly and I am quite confidant that this is a better solution from kuka. That being said I LOVE UR and they are great to work with too. Also I realize everything I have said is opinion based and I don’t disagree that this opinion will be different programmer to programmer.

Cranes, Excavators, dumpers etc. (even PC's) may "pay for unemployment" or, perhaps, we can dig trenches using spikes and shovels so ten or twenty rude men can replace a single one using a backhoe...so the are no longer "unemployed" or, better yet, a thousand armed with forks & spoons may do it as well. (Soviet style "full employment")

This is just for demonstration purposes. In an actual manufacturing enviroment the robot will used to weld large quantities of pieces , where it will always be faster than a human and provide a consistent weld all the time.

I like the idea, but if you have to hold the teach pendant at the same time I don’t see any mayor benefit.

Es würde mich wundern wenn nicht, da der Kopf der 3D Maus die an den Roboter angeschlossen wird identisch zu dem einer 3D-Connexion Maus aussieht.
@@DrIridium die Dinger sind ja auch patentiert und 3D Connexion ist Konkurrenzlos. Außerdem sind die Firmensitze nicht weit voneinander entfernt.

Nonsense, all the robots have movement according to coordinate systems like, "world", "base/user frame/work object"....

This is very old. Reisrobotics had this option already in 2000. Kuka bought Reisrobotics.
