The spatter often gets into pre-drilled and pre-threaded holes, making it so SCREWS will not "screw in" when the fabricated assemblies reach the Customer. Then I saw the ^video^ excerpt, which claims to reduce Weld Spatter by 98%. Even without the associated robot, this capability, by itself, is very interesting. The video claims that the problem is solved by synchronizing the moment of WIRE FEED with the moment of instantaneous Current Ramp-up.
Having a few videos of the robots in the field doing a demo is worth 10x what is shown here. Dress one up with cameras and send it down inside a ships hull (new construction) and impress me. I have seen better KuKa commericals, their marketing department must be cutting back.
I wonder why Boeing only uses ABB. Funny because Fanuc or Kuka can’t pass their stringent accuracy requirements. ABB is by far the superior robot in terms of programming, cpu power and accuracy.
ABB and Kuka seem fine. But oil & gas companies need the machines outside to weld pipelines. How about really kicking butt with a fieldwork robot or "Cobot" that can be guided by a person, but which welds like a god? Portable, powered by a generator, and weatherproof from -40deg F to 130 deg F. Let me know when it's ready to test.
These are just a bunch of regular material handling and welding ads. Show me anyone using that 15 axis robot to do a material handling task like shown when there are so many more efficient ways to do it.
Does anyone know what the octagon shaped material is in the thumbnail? If have seen it in other videos and would like to start using it in my factory but I can not find any info on it.

It is more profitable for the owners of the factories that the coffee makers break down on the second day after the end of the warranty period. That’s the whole trouble. Overproduction of unnecessary goods - than begins aggressive advertising in attempts to shove this stuff to customers. Traders say you need this stuff.
