Hello there. How does the main camera on the s24 compare to the s24 ultra (dynamic range, sharpness, night shots). Is the difference in quality worth the 400Eur extra for the s24 ultra?! Thank you! 😃

Another stellar review. "60Hz? You can tie your shoes..."🤣Love it! And great photos, I really like the one of the flowers and the barbed wire around the railing, nice contrast of something pretty and soft, with something hard and dangerous.
I agree with you that the standard S24 is more phone than most of us will ever need, and the new Exynos chip is proving itself quite capable, if not quite up to the Snap Dragon 8 Gen 3. Unfortunately, my aging eyes need a larger screen (or I need longer arms to hold the phone farther away), so it's a Plus or Ultra for me.
Finally, are those the Huawei FreeClip ear buds you're wearing in the video? Will you be doing a review on them? Curious to hear your opinion.
    Tschüss!

The Exynos is a definite downgrade. There's channel that does extremely detailed comparisons between the SD 3rd generation and the Exynos 2400 and it doesn't look great for the Exynos.
Heating, battery life and overall processing speed is all in the Snapdragon's favor. Even the saturation in the photos, lighting, etc. was superior in the SD variant.
If Samsung was so confident in their own chip, how come the Ultra is decked out with Qualcomm's chip? Why not an Exynos 2400 Ultra?
I am never and I mean never going to purchase another phone with the Exynos chipset, it's just paying the same price for an inferior product.

    • @casuarius6576
      @casuarius6576 7 месяцев назад +1

      Photos was a tie.
It wasn't superior on the SD variant.
Also to note that is better to wait for more tests and for the long term performance tests and reviews.
If Samsung didn't put the Exynos SoC in the Ultra models is because first they have a deal/agreement with Qualcomm and also because of patents and licensing reasons, also because of the production capacity, the Exynos 2400 wasn't planned to come originally in the s24 series by the earlier trusted leakers, next year Exynos that will be renamed as the "Dream" SoC will come to the Ultra model again.

"I'm not going to purchase another product with an Exynos chipset because is an inferior product"
Go to cry to another place then, nobody cares about your pathetic hate, imagine calling Exynos inferior.

I have a S24 and had a lot of exynos in my life😢. The last being s22 (great camera poor battery and unofficially a small heater 😅).
It is time to rectify the facts.
This time Exynos is good. People cannot get used to the idea, but the phone is just amazing. And you don't even have the time to make a coffee or tie your shoes 😂😂😂.

Personally a fan of larger phones had an S22 but got rid of it because of the tiny screen and tiny battery went for the S24 ultra. I'd actually recommend the base S24 because the .1 inches they added back makes a huge difference (6.1 just felt way too small) and battery should be great with 4000 mah cell.

Refreshing to see more women in the reviewer space.
I think the Instagram image issue that you've mentioned wasn't a Samsung special, but lazy app development. My understanding is that a lot of Android app developers took a shortcut and basically screenshotted the camera view finder's video feed instead of accessing the actual camera module to take a proper photo because it was easier. This has been quite well known in the Android dev space, glad that it's finally over. Or perhaps it's just that viewfinder images now show the same quality as the final image because CPUs are now fast enough to do the same level of computation on 30/60 frames a second in the video feed. Either way, consumers win. 🙂

Honestly, I don't find the S24 photos impressive. Somehow dull, not exciting.. in contrast, my old S7 was much more fun, it had a camera that made you Want to take photos of everything because they all turned out fantastic.
I always wondered why they haven't reused the great S7 camera in their midrange phones, it would have been awesome!

I have the S24 Ultra and it's incredible but I've noticed my Pixel 7 Pro takes exponentially better photos of subjects in motion compared to my S24 Ultra. Still photos look great but Samsung still struggles with motion and that's really disappointing if you want to take pictures of pets. Samsung hardware with Pixel's cameras would be the perfect Android phone.

Well I sold my pixel 8 and got the s24.. Just the pixel hardware wasn't reliable... It had multiple issues in the span of 3 months... Sent to service center, repaired but still questionable...
Eventually sold it... Got the s24 which is an amazing device, I've been using it a month now... And no complaints... Definitely go for it if durability is a concern coz pixels are just not built for long term usage... They break at the drop of a hat..!!

Great review, but i think you missed one thing: Battery life on the road.
Just put two sims into the phone, disable wifi, and go for a hike with gps enabled... Do a few video and gsm calls, and you will see...If you hike somewhere with low reception: the gsm modules will eat up the battery while they try to find the gsm towers...
If you are at home, but you dont use wifi, i doubt that it will last 1.5 day after a few video chats on 4G.
Afterall its a great mobile phone, except that is not much mobile...
