Is Death's Chuck Schuldiner The Best Death METAL Guitarist? I believe Chuck was a very unique talent. He pioneered a new genre of music, wrote deep lyrics about religion and philosophical topics, as well as vicious guitar technique. I think he was the total package. Sadly Chuck died of brain cancer at age 34 in 2001. In oder to showcase his amazing songwriting ability, we'll be watching a live performance of Crystal Mountain, recorded in Germany in 1998.
