Hey nice tutorial I’ve been researching bedcovers for while I like the Truxedo brand My neighbor has soft roll up about 4 years old he uses and abuses it daily and it holds up well But I’m liking this model Thank you
I had a soft top and loved it as well. I really only got the hardtop for theft concerns here in Houston so someone can’t just cut it open and steal tools.
Just installed the same cover on my 24 Silverado. The rubber gasket on the tailgate end of the cover doesn't sit flush on the top of the tailgate and there's a little gap that will probably allo get in. Does yours sit flush with no gap?
Are you talking about the rubber flap that is attached to the rolling part when you have the cover rolled out? If so, mine makes contact with the entire tailgate pretty much
Hello sometimes you need to get creative with some the extra left over sealant tape strips and place them in areas that look like they might be needed. I’ve picked up wider weather stripping tape to help with additional coverage in place of the ones they give you in kit. It works well and gives nice coverage & appearance

Yes this is a plus with hard rollup cover very nice
Nice presentation it helps! 👍
Happy to help!
How did it work with going through rain? Are you seeing a lot of water getting in at tailgate?
Yeah - the corners leak a little, but the majority of the bed stays dry. I just avoid putting anything that can’t get wet in the corners

Edit: Allow water to get in.

Yes, mine doesn't sit flush on top of the tailgate. I'll have to double check to see if the side rails are a bit too high.
@moodondie that would be my first suggestion as well. Sounds like the rails are incorrectly mounted
