Thanks for this very helpful video, My inverter is still showing an error but at least I know I gave it a shot. By the way, one additional point that some might not realize: there is a green button on the bottom of the box that turns the screen on for 15 seconds or so; to me I looked like a bolt cover, but now I know it's a button that lets you see error codes and what the thing is doing. Thanks again.
Thank you for this video. My inverter had a 2x96 arc fault, and I'd long thought that resetting/restarting the inverter was simply turning the black knob to off and then on. This didn't help clear the arc fault, but when I followed your steps (first inverter small switch to off, then black knob to off, then inverter breaker to off), once everything was turned back on, the inverter booted, the error is cleared, and I'm feeding power to the grid again. My solar installer is long out of business, and SolarEdge support is non-existent to customers in my situation--they will only work with you via who they consider licensed/authorized installers/electricians, and the majority of these only work with customers they installed solar for.
So helpful. After a recent outage, our inverter had a red Fault light and we waited for service for several days. Finding this video was a quick solution and we are back getting power.
If you have a Fault light you can also turn off the big round switch, remove the 6 x 5mm hex bolts in the lower unit and make sure the circuit breaker in the inverter is turned on. It can pop off and that can give an *Error 3x6E* .
Thanks. I didn’t know about that last lever you pulled, being the same as turning off the electrical breaker. My inverter is 7 years old, and I can no longer read the screen. I’m waiting (almost 3 weeks), for a technician to come out. Electricity is up 64%, this winter, and I’m not producing solar power. 😢
Thanks for the video, unfortunately, even with your steps followed the solaredge system installed by the former resident in our recently purchased home appears to have no power and blank screen. The original installers were no help and were going to charge $$$.00 to set up coms due to T-mobile 3g sunset issues. Problem is, I don't wish to sink any funds into a system that is not working and has zero support. Now I'm debating whether to just change out the inverter with a new model by a different manufacturer , one that has easy learn curve and programming and quality service.
Hello, your video was very informative. At first I had a blank screen. Now I have an error code 153.. HW Error.. by any chance can you tell me what that means?
Thank you so much! Very helpful! My system is relatively new installed in September and didn't realize it was off for 2 months. My sce bill were high like before installation Hopefully, now that it's workin,g, my Edison bill will be much lower. I tried chatting at the website, nobody there. No way to contact solaredge at all! Even the agent ! So thank you so much.
I just realized mine hasn't been producing for 9 months. I didn't think much of the higher bill because our electric company increased our rates and I got an EV.
Thank you, very informative video. Could I please ask a related question, my original (old) system had 12 panels/optimisers. I have now replaced the panels with 10 more powerful ones meaning only 10 optimisers are being used. However, the monitoring system still shows 12 optimisers. Do I need to restart my inverter for it to update my configuration.
That won't help. The layout was programed in by whoever installed the system so you'd have to have special access to that feature through an installer. It'll show your new panels along with the old ones in logical view.
ADVICE PLEASE. my solaredge inverter when new was essentially silent, now 3 year later it is making a buzzing/humming noise that seems like it has been getting progressively louder. given that the noise was not there before, what should i do? there are NO error messages, beeps, lights and the dashboard seems to show normal operation.
When I did this is caused my tv to start and my alarm system to beep like a power surge….is this normals? I didn’t wait thirty seconds to turn the black switch to off after initially the toggle selector to off. Besides that I followed your procedure as described. Thanks
I don’t have that switch, the first one you turned off. I get an E031 relay issue code. My inverters are about 10 years old. Is that first switch newer?
Our problem seems to be that it's producing power, and I can log in and see my individual panels are working. But the dashboard shows no info. No daily production. They had to replace a board recently and though the panels work the data can't be seen.
Hi Brandon: quick question, I don't have the service disconnect switch that you pulled, but I do have a breaker box and it has 4 switches -- 2 labeled service disconnect and 2 labeled solar panel. Should I turn off the 2 that are labeled service disconnect. Thank you again for this simple way to trouble shoot my system.
I did the hard reset after a power outage we had recently that tripped the breaker. Everything powers on as normal but its simply not producing any energy. Any thoughts on what it could be?
Something I found on I see lot of these people mentioning photovoltaic breakers in their meter box I have no such thing my meter is mounted to a 4x4 post about 80 ft away from my house it does have slots for breakers in it but only has a main disconnect in a 240 disconnect for like my dryer and oven when they set my system up they wired directly underneath the meter then out to a fused emergency disconnect from there to the solar array to a 100 amp breaker box that sits in between my inverters then out from the breaker box to the inverters which are SolarEdge HD wave 11400's.
So I have solaredge panels…..on my app zero production since 1/24/24. Could this reset possibly fix my issue?? Had the sys 5 years and never a problem…..thank you! Anyone feel free to chime in. Ty.
Hello, I noticed the SolarEdge Inverter SE7600H-US with and without little Screen Monitor, I also noticed a few of my Neighboor has the SE7600H-US inverter unit without screen monitor. So the SolarEdge Inverter SE7600H-US with, or without little Screen Monitor is the newest model, 2022? Thank you.
I have that model with the screen from 2018. Bought a home because it had solar and now have no way of knowing if it’s working. My screen display is blank unfortunately. Wish I could call this guy/company to come out ;). Thankfully mine is still under warranty.
@@jessicadalske8018 Likewise Jessica, we too bought a home that was equipped with Solaredge inverter. Mine is also under warranty but zero help from Solaredge or original installer. Blank screen regardless of numerous reset process. Original installer wants to charge us hundreds now just to get the system to communicate w/power co. Now I'm debating whether to just change out the inverter with a new model by a different manufacturer, one that has a good warranty, easy learn curve and programming and quality service. (See my reply above for more info). Like to know what you did to resolve.
☯️🌏🕵🏻♂️♻️👣🌌I have a screen that is blinking. It could be many reasons I'll see if I can find it. The thing has been taken up my time.😂It may just be the computer cleaning up. As it has restarted before
Beware of power optimizers unless you don't care about radio Interference for you and/or your neighbors. FCC does not require manufacturers to install RF filters on new installations
Great vid! My system was down and thanks to this video I was able to get it back online.

Thanks for sharing the restart process. You did a great job explaining the sequence and were straight to the point. Awesome ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What about inverters that have a mid-position on the toggle switch?
Thanks for this, tried to troubleshoot but my system still says 0.0 power and there's no error message..at least I gave it a shot!
Thank you for the detailed and simple steps. Worked exactly as described in your video :)
Cheers this was super helpful! We are getting ready for storms so I wanted to know how to reset just in case.
Thanks. Follow the steps. Back up and running.
Excellent 😊 Thank you very much appreciated.

Do you have a video on how to set up inverter to work off a LAN and not the wifi card ?

I just reset mine the way you said ,but for some reason I can not see the meter it is pretty much blacked out
Please help. The black know on my inverter won't turn to the on position. What should I do?
Mine has an ac voltage too high fault even through my voltage is in the normal range. Any ideas?
I have same issue. Did this video help?

What if your screen on your inverter is blank/dead? I'm so mad I didn't realize my panels weren't producing solar for the 9 months.
Thanks so much for this helpful video!
What happened is you hear the relays clicking but the status of the inversor says sleeping..

If I wanted to change out my solar edge inverter, but with another inverter brand, what would you suggest?
Solar edge was made for solar edge panels/optimizers so if you wanted to change brands, you'd have to find something compatible or that can retrofit.

The best thing is to not invest in solar panels in the first place.
Very helpful, thanks!
