I like Eddie Pennington's videos very much, because his explanations and stories about the individual songs make the respective song unforgettably stand out from the mass of music. Unfortunately it has become very quiet around him and his music. Since I am from Germany, it is also not very easy to find something from and about him.
You are my guitar hero Eddie! I met your son at CAAS this year, great player! It must be in the finger DNA. Hope to see you next year at CAAS so you can teach me a few things.
Looks like a Heritage headstock. Sounds great even with PAFs instead of single coil P90s which is a surprise to me. ( I hate PAFs because they make my picking sound like I'm banging with drumsticks or stabbing with icepicks). But the guitar has such a great tone that I wonder if Heritage took extra-xtra effort just because of whom they were building it for.
@@whimpypatrol5503 I agree with your picking experience with PAFs as I have experienced the same. I found that if you roll off the tone a bit and more so on the volume you can get a sweeter, smoother and thicker tone. I still want that guitar or one like it! Remember, Ng = g + 1 : )
Is there EVER a time anybody can play something on Utube without somebody whining about SOMETHING? He does play great and gave a little history about it that I thought was very interesting. Many thanks to KET for putting this on>>>>>
This was recorded to note significance of the music and music history. Hard to do that without discussing that history. Not all videos on social media are on social media just for the fun of putting a video on social media. Some are there to educate. Whoa, what a concept 🙄
This is important historical information, those anecdotes about Merle, Mose rager etc are priceless. Those guys aren’t around anymore, so it’s guys like Eddie Pennington that pass on the stories and keep their legacy alive.
@@irvinslagter8298 Short answer? No. There's always a complainer. And what's ironic is it's always someone who doesn't contribute anything. No videos. No songs. No music. Nothing. Sheesh.
What beautiful tone. That melody just danced along with the rest of the band. Well played.
What A master! His rythem is steady like a train! Fabulous player...
He's smooth as it gets.
What a player!!! And a sweet man too.
Sounds like someone in Constantinople.

That was great!
Wow! Really wonderful Eddie, wonderful touch....Jack Baker NYC
Look at that Whammy Bar. Never heard of him. What a Great Player!
Lets him put his middle and ring finger through it for tremolo, while keeping the thumb bass line going. Old school.

Eddie is perhaps the single best resource for this style of guitar playing. Any words he gives trump most peoples playing
