I just wish for games like this. They made NG+ (New Game Plus). I love going through the stories again. Sure, it gives great variety in character/class mix up.
The discussion around resistances makes me love that I have ember on the crew. Even if vulnerability hex ,which negates immunities to elemental damage, fails, it still lasts for one round which you can then extend indefinitely with cackle since it’s only a move action. No ascendant element necessary (though I guess there may be some enemies immune to the curse? I dunno)
For playful darkness petrification BS, I remember that in Kingmaker, one way to counter petrification was to use freedom of movement, a 4th level cleric spell, it had to be cast beforehand, but perhaps that might offer protection.
The crystal is from the shot by Nocticula when she kills him after weakening him a bit. With angel path she can't cross the barrier and you have to kill him yourself.

Oh yeah that would be interesting.
