A 4bbl swap is in the works… Just trying to track down a reasonably priced intake. The headers certainly woke it up quite a bit! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad I found you! Working on my '68 now. Got a built 427, now 449, and Sanderson headers on it. The exhaust that it had when I got it has glasspaks after the headers, but then a straight set of pipes to two large mufflers...gotta change that! Thinking of cutting off the stuff after the glasspaks and doing a 45º out the sides or one side. Certainly it will sound better, and hopefully not too crazy so the neighbors don't hate me...well, more than they do! ;) My main issues are getting the damn door latch on the passenger side to work and adjusting the C6 to shift sooner. Love these old trucks, and I got it due to my Grandpa Fred who took me everywhere in his as a kid. Keep it up. Like your vids and truck! Scott
I think the glasspacks 45’d out the side will sound great and should be just enough to keep the neighbours “happy” Sounds like a great project!!! Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
Sounds great! Would love to see an in-depth look at the set up….looking to update my 75 f100 similarly. I actually like those rims as well let me know if they are for sale I know you will be putting the American racing rims in soon
Thanks Michael! I will try and post something in the coming weeks! I will be selling the rims eventually but not until this project is complete. Also; shoot us an email if you were still wanting some stickers and I will get some out to you ASAP! whiskeycreekcustoms1@gmail.com
I have a 428cj 72 f100 I just got the exhaust done with an x pipe and dynomax bullets. Made it sound like a tractor at idle. Think I ruined it now I need to change the mufflers.
Sounds pretty good I've had cherry Bombs they sound good although on the fwy it's like nascar in the cab . Talking about lifter noise I had my 390 rebuilt at a rebuild shop they didn't say anything so I put the same rocker shaft assembly on it with the same pushrods . about 3,000 miles later it was like somebody hitting the lifters with the hammer it was so loud, so I bought the brand new railrocker set from jegs it took a while to get them because they were on back order for 3 months but I waited and I finally got them . When I put them on the engine was 80% quieter and changed the push rods as well to the Comp Cam extreme energy stock length pushrod since I had a Comp Cam in it. I mic gauged the feet of the stock rocker shaft it was at least one to two millimeters worn down compared to the new one also I compared the new Comp Cam pushrods to my stock push rods and there was at least one to two millimeter of wear there as well. Due to the worn out lifters and pushrods I had one lifter in the number eight cylinder that wasn't getting pumped up all the way It was getting oily residue in the number eight cylinder causing me to get misfires I couldn't believe that just changing the rocker shaft and the push rods out for new would completely eliminate that problem .
I’m glad you got yours sorted out! I need to dive a little deeper into this one and see what the root cause is. I suspect similar wear issues as yours had. Aside from the clatter when hot she runs like a dream! And yeah those cherry bombs are pretty obnoxious on the highway, but they sure sound good! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎
@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296 I had a lot of blow by coming out of the driver's side , I did a compression test I had 150psi at al cylinders so I thought it was a vacuum leak since it would misfire at a idle . Once I put the new rockers the blow by instantly went away it has to be that ...👍
@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296 the 68 grills are Nicer!! Just saying, I. Have a 69,68, and 70. All f250. 68 69. Short Box crew cabs 70 camper special long bed, my daily driver till my 69 s back on the road,it's my favorite and had it the longest. All are 390 ps and PB and Air. And yes have had them before they got popular again. Hope you enjoy yours a lot. Simple basic reliable and they do work too!
The ‘71 grille has grown on me, and I found out after purchasing it that a family member had a ‘71 back in the day, so we will probably keep it as is. That’s quite the fleet you have, sound like a lot of fun!!! They are great trucks for sure, can’t wait to get this one on the road! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296 Yep! And I Agree on the Grills they are all Kewl! 67 to 72 was gonna go aftermarket custom grill on my 70 inserts but driving it daily till my 69 is back up and Nice again! Then the 70 gets just minor things it's in Superb shape! A few cosmetic issues, undercarriage all nice drives like new, body very very minimal rust, Paint Awesome motor n Tranny re done 30k back! Lotsa horses, 373 posi rear. Great 3/4 ton for work! And love driving it, It seems to turn heads regularly wish not so much in some ways, and in others makes me Smile! Can't go to get fuel without others wanting to look and ask questions, and it's basically a stock f250 no show truck
Run a bigger exhaust tip and you'll have deeper roaring sound. Badass Ford btw, I miss working on them FE's especially pulling off the intake (take off the valve covers, remove the pushrods)😁.. sounds great 👍
I think it will end up with some 3” slash cut tips eventually! These FE’s certainly are a different breed. Thanks for the comment! Much appreciated 😎 Thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
The 44’s would probably be considered “loud” by most, but I find them moderate. But I also like to crank my music up to 11, so it’s all subjective. The 44’s are supposed to be louder than these, but I found they are quite similar. Thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment! 👍🏻👍🏻
The one wheel burn out…sounds great!
Thanks Tony!!! I think once we add a 4bbl carb and a trac-loc… it’ll be even better! 😎
Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
Always enjoy seeing others bumpsides! I have some and love them
They are pretty rare around here but gaining popularity!!!
I had the same setup on a 69’ f100. I put an aluminum intake and 4bbl carb on it and man did it wake up that old 360 🤙

She sounds just fine......Like a mature ford should.....Two thumbs up.
Thank you, I really appreciate that! The full length headers made a world of difference in both sound and power!

Flowmasters are Awesome! Are you gonna restore and keep it
Flowmasters have always been my favourite, and yes; that’s the plan!
Thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
Any updates in the works? Hope all is well.

In Alabama and you? Burn outs with Posi are more fun! Ha ha
We are located on Vancouver Island, on the west coast of Canada! And a traction lok rear is definitely in the works 😎
