Bowling a Good Line and Length

- www.cricketcoac... - "Line" means the line on which the ball pitches, and more importantly meets the batter, in relation to the wicket. The best way to explain this is to imagine a line running straight down the wicket from off stump to off stump.
excellent 'fundamental' tips - the basics for fast bowling in cricket
add bounce, & swing to that and the magic happens
many thanks
i think its wrong to coach a set length. where you pitch the ball should depend on the type of pitch, age of the ball, type of batsman, conditions, stage of game and most importantly the type of bowler you are. some bowlers have a very low skidy style, some produce massive seam and swing movements and others generate more bounce. the main thing is to teach bowlers is how to recognise which lengths are working and to be able to hit the mark they need consistently.
Sounds awsome to me....!!👌😎 it depends on the bowler who is bowling & every thing that present in this world suit us
From Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
great...
Good
what country is this guy from? If you bowl there on a club cricket wicket in Australia you'll be lucky to have a 50 bowling average. That length is never gonna be a bowled/lbw threat, and unless you are REALLY quick and have perfect line you're gonna get smashed. You gotta pitch it up, I don't know any quick bowlers who get annoyed when batsman are trying to cover drive.
0:39 you a mad man I am a cricketer and me sorry for the bowler who put the ball there
Haha I remember Whitney from way back, early 90s!
in bouncy wickets u need to bowl fuller one less bouncy you should bowl back of a lengtb
"line and length"
bollocks. it's like saying to a batsman "hit runs"
so many variables... bounce of the pitch, the position of the batsman, left or right handed bat, batsman least favourite areas, position of and catching capabilities of fielders, physical size of batsman, conditions of weather.
you can pitch it in the difficult areas all day and not get a sniff, then "old John" comes limping in throwing half volleys - the batsman's eyes light up, and makes a mistake.
line and length my arse.
Absolutely mate.
A good length varies depending on the type of wicket. A good length in Australia is not a good length in England and in India it is something different again. A good length can also vary between a short bowler and a tall bowler A tall bowler would pitch the ball slightly closer to the batsman while a short bowler more distant from the batsman.
I think it is good caoching
The length that he is talking about can be square cut half of the time depending on the condition and the skill set of the batsman.
That length is... Quite horrible, a good enough batsmen will more then likely rock back and pull it for 4 :|
Classic
its not called good length anymore... its just called a leng ball now
thanks Mike...you can go smoke another bong now.
I have spent weeks researching best bowls technique and found a great website at Berts Bowls Guide (check it out on google)
Wayyy to short in my opinion
I think it is good caoching
