There are many who know these techniques and can bowl these deliveries. But, a great like Shane Warne knows when to use which and also to be dead accurate. There are not many bowlers who are accurate enough. Kumble, Mcgrath, Murali, and Warne are known for their consistent and accurate deliveries.

I love leg spin. It was always the most mysterious and interesting form of bowling for me. When I was a teenager I was the only person at my school interested in spin bowling, everyone else wanted to be a quick. I read a book by Ian Meckiff on spin bowling and thought that would be good enough for me. I practiced and dreamed of being the great Aussie leg spinner. Then Warnie appeared out of nowhere, same age as me, playing for Australia, and I was a fan from day one.

Shane Warne was the greatest leg spinner in my personal opinion. This knowledge is very helpful for anyone who wants be the leg spinner. I copy him overtime and learnt the leg spin. and I am able to generate quite a bit of spin while bowling. People just amaze with the turn I get.

I don’t know if knighthood’s can be given posthumously, but if they can, I think Shane should be given one for both his character and inspiration and also for the work he did for charity. I say, rest in peace Sir Shane.
