In my opinion the bar for good tv is so low that the boys got such unnecessary hype that it don’t deserve, not to mention “the boys” being complete trash after season 2

Nahh episode 5 is the best one yet. But episode 4 was the best at the time of its release, yeah.
Frenchie was gay since season 1, there was a scene where he kissed hughie, but yeah his thing with the guy was not really interesting tbh
Hello, Jody. Antony Starr is such a good actor. This man's Homelander is a Top Tier villain. I loved all of his scenes this episode.

I actually thought this episode was a solid 8/10 but I think they have been hiding bad writing with gore and raunchiness for a few seasons

Pretty much yeah.
The Boys is at its best when it’s focusing on the heroes and powers. It was never FIRE when it focused on the humans with no powers. If they can get back to the action and powers they may be able to turn it around
Saying this after the recent episode is insane and Butcher is easily one of the most interesting characters in the show with no powers especially when they showed his backstory in season 3
@@yaboyjackiechan1483 I disagree, I think the show slows down and loses focus when it’s not centered around the heroes. The best of Butcher to me was when he was dealing with his human issues while having powers and trying to find that balance. I do like Butcher in this season but less than I liked him last season.. and all the other Boys.. what’s going on with them?
Show might suffered from the last year's writer strike. In 2009 the previous strike was kind of a death kneel to many franchise movies.

Season 2 I noticed a drop. Like Cobra Kai they need to end the show before it gets old and bad.
Luckily Cobra Kai is in its final season now.
This season definitely is lacking mystery and kinetic energy. Once the color palette shifts for a new season, its the beginning of the end
