Just took my bike out and after about 300 feet realized I had a flat. Turned around took it back home, shut it and started looking at my tire. Went to start it up again and bam, nothing. No lights or juice going anywhere, totally dead. My radio is hooked directly to the battery and that was working so I’m guessing it’s the main fuse which got me here. I’m about to go check but wanted to do a little research. I’m hoping it’s the main fuse but wondering what made it blow. At least you have an idea as to what could have shorted to blow it. I’m hoping it’s just old age, it’s a 2002 and it is now 2023. I just purchased this bike last month, so there’s a lot I don’t know. Heading out now to see. Keep fingers crossed!
Yeah. My tail and marker lights kept going out first. Then the main fuse but I replaced some of the bulbs with LED to lower the draw and that seemed the fix the popping fuse issue.
Was the fuel pump a high pitch tone? I thought that's what I heard when you re connected the master fuse? I have a "No fuel" issue (Starts right up with spray starting fluid) and am told it is likely it is the fuel pump relay. I would've been listening for a typical fuel pump sound if successful but now I guess I'm listening for a high pitched tone?
Hey buddy I want to thank you so much for helping me out that right there that video helped me out so much
Holy sh1t your a lifesaver. Thanks stud!!!!

I hope to hear my Vulcan run one day. :'(
It is a JIS "Japanese Industrial Standard" not a Philips screw. for 1998 and up the fuse panned and spare 30 A is under the seat.

Yes. That short whine noise was the fuel pump priming.
How the heck did you get your seat off lol I’m having a stroke trying to figure it out
First unbolt the rear seat at the fender and remove, then the bolt at the rear of the front seat then lift and remove.
