I’m a college grad and have no kids, but I used to love back to school shopping lol. This was fun to watch
Love this video. This is the first year that I bought school supplies in June and not waited till right before school. I have also just chilled out instead of doing a whole lot. I love this summer and am sad to see it go.

They look so happy to go back to school! My school is doing school supplies thank God, so I don't have to worry about it. But school clothes, ugh I can't afford anything and my kids don't want to go to school because they are afraid of being picked on. They are in desperate need of clothes too, but I have to actually take them somewhere to try clothes on. You are such a good mom and love watching your videos and inspires me to hopefully be as organized as you one day. ❤️

Christy, I know you mentioned that some of your kiddos have some academic struggles. Do you mind sharing what you do for them, and have your methods shown progress within their needs? I am not asking which kid, that’s their private thing. I have a child with some learning disabilities and the beginning of the school year comes with some anxiety because of it.

I’m going into 8th grade this year and starting in seventh they call it middle school for us otherwise it is just elementary still. I had a thought that 6th graders are like the queens and kings of the elementary because they are like the seniors before going into middle school. The fifth graders are the juniors because they are not quite done with elementary but they still have an extra year until they are a senior and graduating from elementary before going into middle school/junior high. The 4th graders are the sophomore’s and the 3rd graders are the freshman’s because it is kind of like they are new to the elementary but not quite. I hope that all makes sense. Have a good school year

Off brand or name brand THEY ALL WRITE THE SAME! lol they are all so prepared
As a teacher the only difference in any supplies are the brand of crayons and the brand of pencils. Those are the only items that should be brand specific.
@@amandathompson5971 teacher here! I can agree with crayons but pencils?? They all have lead.
The lead in pencils other than Ticonderoga is often broken within the pencil. So you lose most of the pencil due to sharpening repeatedly. You sharpen, the lead breaks when you write or you can pull the lead right out of the pencil so have to sharpen again. Happens over and over again. This is why most supply lists ask for Ticonderoga pencils specifically.
@@Nicole.2423They all have lead, but the off brand pencils don't sharpen well. When they need sharpening they break and sharpen down too quickly.

Her birthday (GG) may fall past the cut off day and puts her two grades behind instead of one. For example anyone born the same year as me but after Sept 1st will be a grade behind so didn’t start school until the following school year. But I do remember last year her saying 4th grade so it may have been an accident when she said 4th.

Them kids don't use half of the school supplies them teachers just want anything
That's what I was thinking when I saw 2 packs of printer paper. That's got to be for the teacher and not the kid lol.
@@Soy_niahyou do know that teachers do not get paid a lot? Most of the time they have to come out of pocket for supplies that the school should at least supply. I rather help take some of the financial burden off of my kids teacher so they could teach without worrying.
@Sea-lm6lt And that’s fine if you want to do that, but it’s a parents job to supply their children with what they need, not the entire classroom. Asking every student to bring in 12 glue sticks is absolutely excessive.
@syniah739 @breezygodiva503 @chandlerbing9333 As a teacher I can't tell you how much of my own money is spent on providing these supplies for my classroom. Last year I probably dished out at least $3,000 out of pocket to provide for my students and get basic supplies and resources for myself that an employer should be providing. In what other profession would you not be given supplies (like printer paper!) required to do your job? That is where we are at with education! When we ask for supplies it's not mandatory, and parents provide what they can... and for those that can provide, it helps make up for students who will come with nothing. It becomes a communal pot. And yes, kids do go through A LOT of glue sticks.
If you want to make snarky comments at teachers for asking for these things, then direct your comments at the people who can actually make a change so that our students and teacher can have what they need to be productive and thrive.
