You are right. In India we are not able to drive trip customized thar peacefully due to RTO restriction and trafic police interference. That is why I sold my customised gypsey. Gurkha will be your right choice.

Once we were biking in Leh and ran out of fuel. We had to wait 2 hours to find someone who has petrol. Almost all travel vehicles 4 wheelers are diesel. I think it is not sensible to go for petrol for overlanding purpose. Good choice 👍

Best thing is most of mods you made like storage, tent can be shift on to Gurkha too I think, and for power you can tune it being a turbo diesel power gains will be enough and stage 1 can be attained without engine modification
Recently I got feedback about Gurkha's steering position and seat not having height adjustment in a particular variants probably which caused discomfort while driving. Please shed some light on that area once having some long driving experience. Along with that Gurkha managed the auto regeneration where you need not to use any additional fluids etc.Thanks

@@anchit44 thats what i mean. The bash plate is easily altered. My gurkha has 235 mm of clear ground clearance after altering the bash plate and running 245/75/16 inplace of 245/70/16 size tyres. This is a significant improvement and the underbody bash plate does not touch anymore. There isn't significant diving on braking on surface roads. On offroad conditions the speeds are too low to cause nose dive on braking.
I've never camped but looking at this channel now I really want to. No Nonsense reviews, amazing camping footage and auto review. :) Congratulations on the Gurkha booking. Definitely the govt restrictions are choking the way you could sensibly modify a vehicle for the purpose.
Cops in certain states are very touchy about roof racks on private vehicles. Also, RTO rules sadly vary from state to state and there is glaring nonuniformity between states on certain rules. Snorkel perfectly ok but please double check on the roof rack and pls consider carrying supporting documents. Thank you for bringing us all the great videos.

Tbh you're use case is best suited for a pickup or a fortuner with airlocking diffs. They'll last longer and be useable on the streets

Gurkha has a very bad ground clearance comparison to other 4×4 vehicles. Do some off-road test on it. The front bash guard touches everywhere.
