    Hello, Gurkha is made for off-roading. Just wanted to know, if it can be a good highway car as well ??

      Absolutely, this is our Overlanding vehicle and we drive a lot across our country, and that too with kids ...

    • @bearvalleycamp
      @bearvalleycamp  3 года назад +2

      Nope, this is my comfortable cruising speed, one should never drive any vehicle at its limits.

    Hello,
    Is service by FM is significantly satisfying?
    2) What's the cost for service and spares if you have any?
    3)Any heavy body roll on sharp turns /in ghats?

    • @bearvalleycamp
      @bearvalleycamp  2 года назад

      Hello, yes the support from Force Motors has been a stand-out in our ownership experience, irrespective of the State we are traveling through.
      Spares are priced reasonably I can say, average cost for servicing should range between 7-10k ... but this totally depends upon usage and what needs to be included.
      This is a very composed vehicle with minimal body roll, driving dynamics are way better than the competition

    I've been watching your videos and also your comments on TBHP. Excellent vlogs. In my opinion, those who are concerned about "maintaining highway speed" has very little knowledge or experience about driving. Highway speed depends more on the highway itself than the engine and Gurkha is not a racing car. In India, there is not a single highway, where one can "maintain" triple digit speed continuously (doing so would result in accident). Even in Europe (Germany), no one drive a SUV continuously at 3 digit speed. Having said that, what is in your experience the ability of Gurkha in sprinting (quick acceleration to triple digit through downshifting, and then coming back to normal through up-shifting). Sprinting ability of vehicles are good (although not essential) for quick overtaking or sometime tackling some nasty events on highways. Thanks

    • @bearvalleycamp
      @bearvalleycamp  3 года назад

      Thank you Sharbendu, yes absolutely triple digit speeds is not a piece of cake. The gearing is tractable and the power is available and the best part is there is no turbo lag at any point of time which makes it a very different experience.

    • @sharbendu1
      @sharbendu1 3 года назад

      @@bearvalleycamp Thanks. Yes, no turbo-lag is really a boon. My Duster 110 ps can sprint like a Cheetah, but on long run (especially in hill roads), turbo lag makes it a pain to drive.

    Very very interesting and exciting. Thanks for the video. Was the aircondition on...? How was the cooling effect front and rear seat? Thank you. ⚘🙏

    • @bearvalleycamp
      @bearvalleycamp  3 года назад +1

      Thank you ! During this drive we did not need air-conditioning (at least until Nasik) due to the weather being cool. The AC otherwise is a chiller and even during peak summers, cools the cabin quite effectively and one does not need to go beyond blower speed 1.

      The mileage one gets should be above 16 if am not mistaken? Comfortable ride and drive? Maximum 3 digit speed?

      :) the mileage is certainly not 16! It is one of the most comfortable drives you will find, I have comfortably cruised at 120 too, but I prefer 100-110.

    Sir, excellent car with an excellent driver. May I ask what phone holder are you using on the windscreen and is it any good while going off-road like say on your forest trails?

    • @bearvalleycamp
      @bearvalleycamp  3 года назад +1

      Thank you so much :)
      I am using a Bergmann mobile phone holder and believe me it is one of the best!! I have had to change many holders in the past because none were able to sustain the jerks and undulations of a forest trail, but this has stood apart. Whats more I don't even need to touch the suction cup once fit, unless I want to remove it.

      There was some camera clamp which was rattling, and yes it does make some noise, but the microphone was way too sensitive, it is not that audible, else I would have had to add audio in post processing.
