I tour on my CBR1000RR and always love to find others touring on sport bikes. As for riding a long day, every touring rider IMHO, should do at least one 1,000 mile day just so you know what it's like. You never know when some emergency will need to get you somewhere in a hurry. It's not so much about how far it is, it's about your mindset when you start the day and knowing what you have to do and do it safely.
1000 miles in one day?!?! Holy cow! 300-400 miles I think would be my limit. At least that's what it is for me in a car. Perhaps it will be different on my Busa once I start riding it. Currently getting all the "goods" put on it.
@@Perknovak It's mainly about you being mentally prepared, knowing what you will do that day. Start very early. If you have to ride in the dark, plan to do that part early, while you are still fresh. Know that if you are riding east to west that you will be gaining daylight hours; and less daylight if riding west to east. Plan your gas stops by knowing your bikes range and where to get gas that is most convenient.
Thanks man and you are welcome there will be more for sure. Lots of road trip vids coming cause it's that time of year for me, but also some cosmetic mods and other things on the horizon as well.

350-400 is no small trip. I wasn't doing much more then that day to day around 500 each day (4 full days) on the way back which was better than the 3.5 days going out to FL. I thought about sending you a DM do a group ride or something, but fam had my time all booked up.
I've seen bars for the gsxr 600 and 750 that raise the hand grips 4.5 inches up and 2 inches back. The bike lines don't flow quite as well but it's far from ugly. Would make an excellent sport touring compromise.
Great video man! Such a pity I wasn't in Florida like a week earlier :'( Nothing worse than super strong wind, just makes you so tired as well. Beasht. Would have been pretty cool to ride with ya in FL but it was not meant to be. The wind just wore me down in hindsight I am very happy I decided to leave Friday after work versus trying to make Dallas, Texas in a single day, that would have not gone well at all.

Great trip video on a great bike. How are you adjusting your chain while on the road? I have been considering getting a Busa but I am hesitant because it does not have a center stand which makes chain adjustment accurate and easy. Thanx!
Thanks man, the Busa is amazing. I just do it on the side stand. No real choice, at home I have a paddock stand but, on the road, just do it on the side stand. Obviously, it's not as nice as on the paddock or center stand but it really isn't that bad on the side stand either. Same goes for lubricating the chain.
