  • Today, we went to the Central Market in Kuala Lumpur! They have a new small market inside of it with many delicious Malaysian products. The question is do Malaysians come to this place for shopping?

Well Malaysian used to flock this place 10/15 years ago... But most stopped coz its has a become a tourist trap.... everytime is overpriced...and handicrafts or other items are much more cheaper 100meters away. Try out the pricing of the mamak restaurant in the complex..you will know

I used to hang out near the Central Market when I was in secondary school just because the mini bus meeting area was located just beside it. We didn’t go inside the CM itself because it only sells souvenirs and some art which none of us could afford. Instead we spent our time at the nearby Kotaraya Complex playing snooker and video arcade games, watching underground concerts in the S&M building for RM3 and purchasing CDs at Jalan Pekeliling market. We never call it Chinatown like some ignorant vloggers call it today. To us it is just another street in KL. The Chinatown title belongs to places like Jinjang, Kepong and Taman Miharja, KL. There are basically no one else there except the Chinese people. Anyway, the only time we went inside the CM was to use the many ATM machines there. As the result there were many wannabe thugs roaming the area trying to steal or blackmail us students for some money. My best fren lost RM70 after he tried to woo a gal sitting nearby only to be blackmailed by some guy who told him that he was her brother. It was his first scholarship money. I still remember the event even today 😂
