Do you rekon it'll drive down the road nicely when it's finished ?

It should. I thought about the height and it’s really not taller than a box trailer with the same shape. So really I am focused on structural integrity. I am building it very strong as you will see in videos to come. The only thing I might want to improve are aerodynamics later. I need to see it’s height over my tow vehicle which is a Tahoe. I might ramp the front of it a bit to cut down on drag.

Did the tar smell for awhile or ?

This was a concern for many of my viewers... Believe it or not, I smelled zero tar when I put the roof on. Some think it might get hot and melt in the sun in summer, or smell.. Nope not at all. I would honestly use tar again. I have many new camper videos coming, Please Subscribe

@@justinsmith847it seems all campers eventually needs roof repair. They all leak eventually. Except mine hopefully lol. I plan on adding more rubber coating every 5-10years. Let know what the good and bad is on your roof. Does it have a vent fan or AC? If not makes it easier. If you do I would strip it down and reframe it. Don’t be afraid it remove layers to find out the amount of rotten damage. Got any pictures? Are you posting to a RUclips of your progress? I am hear to help and can give you ideas.

@@justinsmith847 ok sounds like a fun build. So that fan has a frame around it. Could be where the roof started to rot. It’s best just to go through the whole roof they are weak at best. I will see if I can find the one video I watched of a guy that rebuilt his roof nicely.
