- Brenda Spencer was unhappy with her life and sought attention by acting out and skipping school. She bragged that she was going to do something big. She wasn’t lying.

She's not only violent and reckless, she's refusing to accept responsibility meaning she hasn't learned a damn thing. There's no way she should ever be set free to reoffend.
@Colby Dipsen Your replies are a complete waste of time!
Seriously I mean people are under the influence a lot and never think about killing kids
she is an involuntary actress from the 70s on B&W television where they could literally tell you a bunch of kids were saved by a truck being positioned between the gunner and the school. think about this situation and use your critical thinking. this is a bs story from back when they barely even had to try. it is called propaganda. the only reason you don't recognize it as such is because they have already taught you to think you know what propaganda looks like
rewatch this video with the idea that someone is trying to manipulate you in the back of your mind and i guarantee if there is an ounce of free thought left in you, you'll see what i am talking about
@@foreignuser_ You cannot be this thick.
", she's refusing to accept responsibility meaning she hasn't learned a damn thing."
That sentence shows the overall problem with mental ilness: people simply pretend that it doesn't exist. talking about accepting responsibility is nonsense if the person in question lacks the moral ability to see that it was not acceptable. Throwing such aperson in jail does exactly f*ck-all because that's not going to make that sense of moraliity suddenly start working.
*WE* know that what she did was wrong, she doesn't. The solution is to find out why she doesn't so we can fix that in other kids before they get a gun from their daddy becuase MURICA!
She should NEVER be let out! She is in absolute denial!
The irony that this was uploaded on a Monday is not wasted on us.

used this for my english exam last year and i got an A+, thanks
I mean, it’s kind of good she won’t take responsibility because that’s a sure fire way to not get parole🤷🏻♀️
Many, many children were sexually abused. They never ended up doing such a horrific action, killing and hurting others.
Yes, and it's also pretty weird. She's in prison for decades and she has plenty of time to learn how to get parole. And she did the contrary
True! Geez. Shooting at children alone is evil. Then 2 murders which could've been more.
@@gracealexandre3381 you cant compare each kid with another
I 👍 agree. You're 💯 correct on that call.
Watching her smirk throughout her interview spoke volumes. She was enjoying the attention.
Wat else is she gona do u idiot , shes bound to be giddy or nervous
She has a "if Jeff Dahmer had a little sister" thing going on.
LOL! Wow so true!!
Omg!! I was thinking same thing!! She reminded me so much of him. Her look, her demeanor.. the way she spoke.
Actually no, what you know about Jeffrey Dahmer is media spin. He wasn't like that. He was a product of his cold indifferent neglectful parents. His grandmother was the only one who showed him attention.
@@theresahenderson3534 He was still a nutjob
@@buttnakedsnake9357
Really? Did you know him?
So the father married her cell mate ....
Brenda never stood a chance of growing up to be normal with a parent like this.
proof???????
That's a very good point. Like the butterfly affect idea starting from her home life on up.
He clearly did molest her, he kept denying for her to get mental help? Shared the same bed!? Got her a gun for her BDay? Had a hatred towards police probably because they didn't believe that her own biological dad molested her?...
I think dad should also be held responsible for denying her the treatment she obviously needed and for buying her a gun with 500 rounds. why would you give a kid rounds to a gun?
Because it's legal? Why do you want to give the state more powers to mess with people? You're literally asking for freedoms to be taken away. I can only hope you're young.
@@onedaynoreason2572 are you serious??!! This has nothing to do with the second admenment! Her father probably did molest her. He didn't want her to get treatment.! And the right to bear arms does not include giving your crazy ass daughter a gun with enough admonition to take out many.
Only through God's Grace and Mercy that the demon child didn't kill all she aimed at. So if the 2th right means shit like this will continue to go on, there is definitely something broke with that right.
@@onedaynoreason2572 nope, not young, just have common sense. loaded guns in the house is discouraged to protect minors, but this Dad gave his kid a gun and the ammo. He is the adult and should have been held responsible on some level.
@@onedaynoreason2572 It's not legal to give someone mentally ill a gun.
Nonetheless a suicidal one.. but I’m sure he didn’t believe in mental health.
For those who are curious like me about her parole hearing in 2021….she stipulated to a 3 year denial instead of having the hearing. In other words: she refused parole and won’t have another eligibility hearing until 2025.
At this point she knows she wouldn't be able to function on the outside.
I live a few miles away from here and was an adult when this took place. Her dad still lives there and the house looks exactly the same. He married her look-alike cellmate and had a child who then attended the same school Brenda shot up.
Her mother had left the home and Brenda and her dad slept on the same mattress on the floor. When police called her mom to try and talk Brenda down she replied "I am too busy counting money". The whole "I don't like Monday's" was just a flippant remark.
It was not a small house, it was a three bedroom home in a somewhat expensive area.
Wow
@Miss Melancholy I agree, I believe that Brenda Spencer has Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, commonly called F. A. S. It is a fairly common disorder, the
F. D. A. Didn't come forward with the information of the tragic, and lifelong damage this condition can leave a child with until 1980. Even though the Celtic people over 2 thousand years ago, forbade pregnant and nursing women from the consumption of wine and ale.
@Miss Melancholy exactly what I am thinking. And him giving her a rifle when he knows she's suicidal & also refuses to get her help. Making a teenage daughter sleep on the same mattress as her dad is so foul & creepy. Not excusing her actions but there is a serious correlation between children and this kind of murderer.
@@tealalovesheavymetalandcats The sexual abuse idea didn't occur to me. I just figured they were broke.
@@worsethanjoerogan8061 I don't know if they were or not, it doesn't seem that way when shown the house and neighborhood. I think most dads would say to their daughter, you take the mattress, I'll sleep on the floor or couch/chair whatever. It seems really creepy
I taught public school for 32 years at every level giving me time to follow students' lives. The principal characteristic of those who ended up in jail or in prison was that would never take responsibility for their actions. It was always somebody else's fault.
sorry but that is the reason its teachers like you. sometimes kids blame others for their own actions i was blamed all the time instead of the people who did it
Their instinctive knowledge that they had a creep snooping n spying on them n keeping an unofficial dossier on them wouldn't have helped em either.

@@sleekoduckwhat? What is the point in this comment?
I felt more empathy when she just said she didn't like Mondays, having now seen her interviewed, it becomes apparent that she is most probably a sociopath.
This is a true crime channel and not a music one, but Bob Geldof's remarks about writing I Don't Like Mondays always resonate with me. He said he never meant to 'make that creep into a heroine' and only wanted to write a story of how it could have happened. "The silicon chip inside her head gets switched to overload"-what a great line.
Did he believe she was mk ultra'd?
His Merv Griffin interview was classic.
No.
@Burn Loot Murder you're tripping 🤪
Wait that song is about her? omg
I feel bad for the custodian, who was killed, trying to help one of the students who have been shot. That man was a hero.
The “I don’t like Mondays” shooter. Scary to think she is eligible for parole again this year. Wonder what explanation she will have this time?
Wouldn’t she be like 58??
@@michelleyoung4918 yes she's only a couple years younger than I am
what was her explanation last time she had a parole hearing?
The one that finally gets her out.
Who'd have thought it would lead to such a great piece of music...it's a great song.
Bruh anyone who tells me that man didn’t SA his daughter is a liar after hearing they slept on the same bed on the floor while he was an alcoholic. It’s NOT an excuse for what she did, but I believe it happened.
I do not believe that. In the interview she told so mamy lies you can assume she lies about everything so she can place blame on others instead of taking responsibility for her own actions.
That's why she couldn't go to counseling. Had she, this information likely would have come out.
Thats your fantasy, pervert.

For that reason, it could be argued that Mr Spencer is the monster for denying his daughter psychiatric care.
@@violinistoftaupo You are right of course. However, most people just get angry and place blame while ignoring the actual reasons why things like this happen. It's always about reaction rather than prevention. That's why these things keep happening over and over.
Hey, at least she seemed to enjoy her gift! Some kids are ungrateful.
it’s similar to covid , just idiotic. turn down western medicine and help and let’s get her a gun which ironically she asked for a damn radio

I bet, Garfield hated them too!🤣 🐈 😜
I truly appreciate your sense of humor!! It is needed. 😌
Thank you for calling out her BS!! The only thing fatal that day was her aim. She planned it and carried it out!! Disgusting’
Well, the she was clearly lying, and she should stay in prison, but the way he wrote it off is idiotic. A "lethal" dose doesn't mean that amount is lethal to someone that is used to taking those drugs. Same reason Alcoholics can down a bottle of vodka without needing a hospital.
Both parents are responsible for what happened. There were so many signs and her father denied her psychological help. Too many stories like that.
There is no place outside prison for her.
Apart from my bed 🥵🥵🥵
Bullshit, most criminals walk free. She's in fine company outside.
The rifle range…or the Olympic biathlon
The last one is so messed up and tragic, not many know that Brenda was severely SA’d by her alcoholic dad 😢 he also gave her weed and alcohol since she was young, her parents created a monster
Monsters are created
Where's the proof of this. Sharing a mattress on the floor is more indicative of being poor than SA'd
Just because she said it at her 2001 trial, doesn't make it true. Was probably just her trying to get lesser sentence. 🤷♀️
For my birthday this September, I'd like Brenda Spencer to be denied parole again, thanks that's it.
She waived her rights for one in 2022 instead I guess
And next year too!
She probably doesn't want out. She had nothing outside of prison. She was a child when she went in and has absolutely no skills or way to support herself.
"And if I had a goose that laid golden eggs, I'd be a rich man" lmaooooo
This is where I differ. Yes, a lot of us had horrid childhoods but everyone internalizes experiences, differently.
You are so right.....
I totally agree. Her dad let her down by not getting her help.... If a baby doesn't get held enough problems can start.
And there are also those of us that had horrid childhoods that have not turned into homicidal maniacs. Conversely there are those of us that have had wonderful upbringings with love support encouragement that go on to be homicidal maniacs. What's your point. Trying to make excuses for the inexcusable? I think she got off pretty good. There are men out there that had done less and were executed.

Her dad is basically responsible. Parents who deny their kids psychiatric care are as bad as parents who deny their kids necessary medical care that eventually kills them.
Agreed.
Her dad is 99% responsible, he failed as a man and a father. Most children are not born killers, they're made.
Wasnt that easy back then, not like today were everyone is mentally ill even if ther not 🙈

Her dad is beyond sick and wrong. Chronically drunk, refused ANY help for a daughter showing sign after sign, grooming and marrying his daughters lookalike cell mate in juvy when she was only 17?! What was the father thinking buy getting her a gun and enough bullets to take out a small town. He did everything to enable her to do exactly what she had been threatening and should have been charged for it. He basically signed hers and many others deaths. Its only luck that prevented anyone from being killed. She clearly needed help for mental health issues and he even barred authorities from treating her. I think he is equally, if not more to blame for what happened.
