      Yup once i got my dog i could not even imagine having someone cut off his balls cuse id be super pissed if someone did that to me. Also to me it didint make much sense because clearly there are bigger factors at play w the hormones and stuff other than just reproduction. My main concern was that if my dog was gonna be misreable because he is not getting any and its not like he takes can take care of himself like we humans can if you catch my drift. I was thinking maybe by actually thinking i am doing him a favor by keeping him intact and not breeding i am actually giving him diservice a life of hornines and missary

    Learning much from You! Catching-up w my 1 year old GSD/Malinois. Had no idea I was giving him too many choices, w past dogs I didn’t have 2 kids, it’s a diff dynamic w a litter + when biting & herding is so strong. Your e-collar training was BOMB, he’s chasing chipmunks much less & so eager to train when its fun. I appreciate your no bullshit no feelings explanations. Not enough hours in a day, so discerning away all the useless fluff ass dog trainers was half my battle!

    • @15xgg80
      @15xgg80 2 года назад +5

      Exactly i remember literally yelling at my computer screen listening to these "positive trainers" on youtube say just give your dog treats when your dog notices a dog to get the dogs attention off the other dog and im like i would have to starve my dog for days and he would still be more interested pulling toward the dog than any treat i have infront of him. Also you will see some videos and you just know that they put only the best parts of the video on their yt channel and they cut out the parts when the dog dont listen. Ive seen on his videos when his dog makes mistake he proudly shows that and i respect the ish out of that.

    Super nice pups! Another great video. I like how you inform people by saying "this is what I do" not "this is what you should do". My shepherds are fed raw only and it works for us, but it doesn't work for everyone. There is no need to make anyone feel like they are bad by feeding raw or kibble. Only if they are feeding garbage. I also TOTALLY agree with your view on neutering dogs, especially if it's done too early. I have fostered puppies and dogs for the Ottawa Humane Society many times. I know that there is an issue with many unwanted pets period, not just dogs. The problem is not with neutering, it is with irresponsible owners and breeders.
    Keep up the good work Haz ;0)

    • @15xgg80
      @15xgg80 2 года назад

      I never knew that wanting a big GSD was a thing tbh but even so when you look at human babies you have some that are born heavy and big that dont grow that big and vice versa cant ever imagine someone seeing a puppy and thinking i will get that one because its gonna be a big one. First no way to tell how big its gonna be and tbh not sure why you would want to pick a puppy based on how big its gonna be. Personally my main concern is a happy healthy puppy that is not gonna have behavioral issues if he she happens to be on the smaller side who cares.

  • @JKnight911

    Amen! Thank you for saying “Do not fix your dog!” So many people believe neutering a dog will calm them down, and it’s the total opposite. They need those hormones and testosterone! The females clean up themselves during their heat cycles. Every now and then you may see a drip on the floor, but they do an awesome job of keeping themselves clean.

  • @pamelagay12
    @pamelagay12 2 года назад +2

    I totally agree with you. My female GSD is intact, and yes twice a year it's a pain. But no more of a pain as when she blows her coat twice a year. With stallions, however...I've had horses all my life and ride stallions on trail. The tricky part is when you encounter a mare in season... an extremely well trained stallion will ignore her, but if not EXTREMELY well trained, it is a train wreck waiting to happen. Also, I can handle a stallion...calm or not so calm...but make sure the person that rides your stallion is a very accomplished rider. Just my opinion! Have fun!!

    • @15xgg80
      @15xgg80 2 года назад +1

      LMAO i am just imagining someone riding a horse and the sees another horse in heat and the horse is doing everything in his power trying to kick you off so he can go do his thing. I can see it being very dangerous. Is that what happens?

He is on a dry that seems to work ok with him, and I do add lean but cooked extra, he does get abit of raw but can only tolerate a small amount. It has been a trial of different foods. If the food has too much fat it gives him a loose bowel. He is around 75 pounds last month when we checked. Thanks for the information. Those pups are just beautiful!!

Super dark coat, this thing was equal or taller to the man’s hips as he was walking it, if it stood up it would’ve been taller, I swear, looked like “Hound of the Baskerville” thing..I stopped and talked to him about it, he said it was an awesome sweetie, but wow..scary looking!

    As a horseman I will tell you this Haz, The life of a stallion is a lonely one. If you have lots of land with multiple paddocks, or don’t plan on getting another horse, then it doesn’t matter. But I believe that horses enjoy life a lot more when they get to spend it with other horses. There are exceptions to every rule and I know that you are aware of that. I have owned stallions before that I was able to turn out with other geldings. But out of nearly 1000 horses I have trained in my life I can only think of 2 studs that I could have done that with, and in both cases it was only with geldings Of there liking.
    This comment was supposed to be one sentence but for some reason I felt like I had to explain. Good day to you sir 😉

    WOW!!! Someone finally get it. Know how to feed a German Shepherd. Know how the body should look like and be proportioned.
    German Shepherd over weight is hard on their joints especially on the back end. Good food is very important but not to much food. If you can’t see the outline of the ribs and they do not have kid of an hour glass shape they are over weight.

Which are generally better for hearding, protection work, family dog, and guarding property and animals? I will probably be the one handling this dog most. Which are easier to handle? We will be getting our animals next year and also hoping to get the puppy at the same time so he/she can get acclimated to them and the animals can acclimate to the pup. Waiting to hear back from you with excitement!! Blessings!

      There is a vet that was thought to fix dogs early in her career and by vet school and when she opened her own practice she strongly encouraged her clients to fix their dogs asap so much so that she would nicely tell them to find another vet if they didnt want to. She noticed that alot of the dogs that got fixed developed so many more serious health issues compared to her few clients that insisted they stay w her and didnt want to fix the dogs. She actually ended up crying because all those dogs that had all those issues were a result of her strongly pushing for fixing. Now she strongly encourages her clients not to fix their dogs.

The goal is not to teach 8 - 12 week old puppies tricks. When it comes to.protection, they either have, or they don't. Socializing and letting them be a puppy is important. You can train a dog to sit and stay at any age. Stop with the stupidity, because it is not helping you.
