I remember for Mandalorian Season 2, Filoni tricked the employees at Lucasfilm by having them create a Kel Dor mask instead of Luke Skywalker for the big reveal so it wouldn't be spoiled. The Kel Dor was supposed to be Plo Koon, Filoni's favorite Star Wars character. Now that a Kel Dor has appeared in Star Wars live action, I believe that the mask is just a reuse from the costume department when they created Koon for Mando 2.

Although Plo is alive during this time, I think they made the right decision to not have him tag along on the mission, and instead have another one of his species so you know, it doesn’t mess up his beliefs in Episode 1. They also didn’t have Ki-Adi Mundi come along on the mission so for all he knows, he doesn’t see a red lightsaber, and he doesn’t know anything yet. 4 episodes of the show left, let’s see how it plays out

If you look up Jedi Master PLO koon age and the clone wars he was almost 400 years old that would have made him at least

We dont know if Mundi can be trusted yet. Everyone seams to take that single line as a bullet proof value that should be hundred percent thrue but maybe not cause of a number of reasons.
Show was dung ki adi mundi isnt even alive yet and him being around for this directly contradicts his statements in the phantom menace. Also one of the writers said it could have been yoda but they didnt have the tech in the budget which is telling that Disney has no confidence in the show being a succes or of high quality.
There's two separate timelines with different lore.
Everything before 2014 besides what's directly in the the movies and The Clone Wars is now Expanded Universe/Legends lore. Post-2014 is a new reboot timeline, where Ki-Adi-Mundi's age has never been stated. Behind the scenes, CD-Roms, trading cards, etc. from before 2014 are not a part of the same timeline as The Acolyte.
@@RayOfTruth Well regardless Ki Adi Mundi directly says in the movies the sith have been extinct for a millennia. So him being in this show changes his character to a liar or just a plain idiot. That is not a positive change to the lore and just because Disney was too lazy to give him an age doesn't mean it makes sense when he is like twice as old.
He has no knowledge that Mae is connected to the Sith Order. Not all darksiders or rogue Jedi are Sith.
Plus the point of him saying that line in TPM is that he's wrong and handled the situation poorly.
This is not 100 years b4 episode 1. The beginning of the show says its 100 years b4 the empire so that means its 87 years b4 episode 1.

Oshawa has a change of heart after repeatedly saying she wasn't going to join the mission?
Jedi wookee found dead in his chair, he was totally surprised and didn't fight?
Why did it smell bad in the forest at some point, the bugs?

Forest was nice.
The costumes are nice.
Yellow lightsabers.
Basil is a nice character.
Nobody questions how yellow lightsabers brake the lore since George stated clearly that good guys use green and blue and bad guys use red, that's the rule, exceptions are exceptions, like temple guards and Mace using purple because he is Samuel L. Jackson
@@Ivan_KV Brother I have trouble too! I liked the military aspect of SW and the action, but this is different, and interesting... Lucas gave us a great gift, it's time for us to take the torch and move forward. I mean he was ok with the Legends. I like the Acolyte even if I'm complaining. Witches and a different view on the force is interesting. Also interesting the witches against the Jedi and the Jedi being the bad guys. But it's hard to let go of what we knew. Positive comments and explanations from other fans helps a lot! Like to me the bug was justczn enemy to destroy, but maybe all living things have the right to live. But our old instinct is "kill the monsters." LOL - Let's not forget the Rankor keeper was crying ;-)

I wish it wasn't because it could have been the perfect excuse for the council in Episode I not knowing about this Sith (assuming it is a Sith and not another type of Dark Side Force User). But, the credits specifically has the character credited as Master Ki Adi Mundi (around the 30:42 mark)

I don’t know why, exactly. When I see the Jedi… officially, they don’t have a “uniform” they just dress so much alike that Anakin wearing black was a big deal… but the High Republic peeps are in these pristine whites, not the beige of the clone wars (prolly a metaphor in there)… and it feels cheap. Like I’m watching Tom Baker Dr. Who, and this race will only exist for a couple episodes anyway, so they just half-assed the costumes on a BBC budget. I can’t take them seriously.
Because the High Republic is made by Disney after the EU.

@@acidp0p im not a super fan but they've completely changed star wars to Kathleen Kennedy's rendition of star wars which is just her self issues projected into star wars i agree with some things theyve done but overall Disney Star Wars is all talk no fun. its boring, the writing makes no sense, they change lore (movie lore esp) to best fit their story which is hard to follow.
Well Ki wasn't even born at this time. But if I look it up Disney panicked when the episode came out and tried to change it on Wookieepedia and change his character Lore. Kinda makes little sense why he's there and not goes tbh
i guess they worry about growing their fan base rather than making star wars. basically they made star wars fan films with a bunch of nonsense. I honestly love the show, there are things that could have been done better like all things but overall I’m enjoying it so far can’t wait for episode 5!
The story and cinematography failed to grab me... It's just like the later seasons of GoT, cool concepts but poorly executed. I do believe a more competent writer and director could squeeze more from the actors. Even the lore breaking issues that I have could have been better in more skilled hands.

We've seen Disney Star Wars be amazing and exactly what its meant to do, inspire and share wisdom to the younger generations. but projects like Acolyte is a complete writing failure, when you have to change the old lore to any writing project thats already been published just to make the story fit your new agenda.
