Bring back Outros!!!
1:48:00 Seth's at 29 life; Tomer at 8, Tomer is dead focus down Seth instead of trying to kill Tomer; Crim
Make and/or create Decks, not War.
Tomer's turns: He plays something scary and the whole table goes "Ohhhhhh no!"
Crim's turns: He plays something scary and the whole table goes "Ohhhhhh no!"
Seth's turns: He plays something scary and the whole table goes "Ohhhhhh no!"
Richard's turns: He plays something fair and the whole table goes "But battle axes!"
What a relief ( :
Watching Richard sit on a cyclonic rift and pact of negation is probably the best part of this video.
For real. And this isn't even the first time, Richard's counterspell game is just too good.
Thank goodness
Crim: "we need to stop the huatli ultimate and the purphoros"
Tomer: "I can do both with my creatures"
Crim: *destroys all creatures* "Tomer its your fault Seth got to do all that"
Gonna agree with Tomer on this one: Hedron Archive doesn't look good in the old border
Tomer logic is that if he attacks everyone he can’t become archenemy
its worse for his deckbuilding choices for theme weeks lmao. the legalese Tomer's pulling with these themes (Akiri's "warrior" warriorless deck omg i was livid when that happened haha) are op
@@michaelcho6484 that deck was in response to Crims Skittles "dragon” deck that was literally only Skittles
@@thomasjacobs4919 I mean, Crim never claimed he was a tribal deck. A dragon deck doesn't imply playing multiple dragons
@@cloaking111 but he did, he claimed it was a dragon tribal deck that was actually an infect tribal deck.
This game was like
Tomer: plays something
Table: Oh no... Are we dead?
Someone: Board wipes
Rinse and repeat 😂
my FIRST thought when someone says "everyone is playing a token deck" would absolutely be "are we house-banning Massacre Wurm?" Of course token decks can have ways around this, but still... Massacre Girl is good to control tokens, but the Wurm is how you use their tokens against them to actually just straight up win
Rakdos Charm, Rampaging Ferocidon, Tresspasser's Curse.
Thanks Seth!! This IS THE BEST BIRD OF PARADISE ART!!!!
If anyone wants a good drinking game, anytime someone says “are we dead?” would get you good and drunk real quick.
Same for "Kill Tomer"
Tomer didn't seem to learn much from the "how to avoid being archenemy" podcast. He spends most of the game talking about how bad his deck is, how he isn't gonna win, how he isn't a threat, etc. but then on his own turn he puts a full board of lethal threats into play, draws 20 cards, etc and wonders why everyone else considers him the most dangerous and don't believe or trust him.
The worst part is how much he whines when people then start answering his threats. I certainly enjoyed the game a lot more once he got eliminated lol
I love how Richard is just sitting there with cyclonic rift and just lets hualtli ultimate
And it won him the game.
Commander clash has improved so much now that we can see everyone’s reactions to the game been a fan since episode one and love the changes you guys have made to the series thanks for everything!
Big improve
Shame they didn't do Token Week in paper. Would have loved to see Crim's custom sharpie art.
Me too thanks
*Tomer plays mana doubler that sticks, has 12 mana and a huge explosive turn that is very dominate and destroys everyones stuff.*
*Also tomer when he gets his stuffed answered* "why am i archenemy!?"
Wonder what breaks first this week, MTGO's token limit or the guys' brains from combat math.
Their social bonds, as usual. Followed shortly by their brains.
Everyone: YOU CAN WIN
Tomer: I DON'T WANT TO WIN I WANT DRAGONS
Me too thanks dragons are the best : D
I hadn't watched in a while but I love the addition of the cameras. Seeing yalls faces makes a world of a difference and it's so great to see yall joshing around with each other than just listening to it. Not to mention it really helps keep things clear about who is where.
I'm calling next week's results now: Tomer's teammate will kill him
I hope Crim is his teammate. How long do you think they could work together ?
@@7someone We'll find out!
Richard + Fate = something I never knew I needed but now I want more of it.
Me listening to the intro "Someone else is playing Guided Passage?!"
There's no way this episode can fail with a strong start like that!
Yeah! I just need to get better at politics on spelltable... Or just draw it when I’m not the archenemy already
I just play bad cards if I that incredible tutor that way no choice is wrong
One of the best games of commander found online.
Richard's Axe Body Spray deck was perfect craftmanship (pity about the mana, though).
Crim's Repel Intruders was so on point for a counterspell in this token episode.
Tomer's dragon token deck was something else. Is it good? Is it bad? Was he ever the archenemy?
Seth made Purphoros "fair" by pairing the god with... fungus.
Well done, gentlemen!
EXTREMELY disappointed that tomer isn't playing Descent of the Dragons. Fungus reins supreme as usual.
I started the video thinking this was low key going to be Craterhoof Behemoth week only to be pleasantly surprised by the variety of takes on a "Token" deck. Quality stuff as always, guys!
"Hey guys...the theme is Tomer week!"
Seth - "Kaldra, but more janky!"
Crim - "6 Drop Tribal, hehe I will add more lands!"
Richard - "Moonfolk Tribal.....actually meant to cast Moonfolk!"
Tomer - "So I built a deck that's Meta against myself." -_- lol
That would be fun
All of the yelling at Tomer kinda gave me anxiety lol. Poor guy just wants to play some dragon tokens!
Dragons ( :
I feel like the real metagame here would be to play Grismold.
1:42:46 Seth, I think the only way you'll ever get the fungus plan to actually work is if you can get Sporoloth Ancient and Sporesower Thallid on the battlefield at the same time with other fungus creatures and get them to stick.
That's a big ask, and once it gets going I think it's unlikely you'll be left alone for long.
This was one of my favorites. I loved the ever growing anger hidden behind a grin of crim. It was like Vegeta seeing that dang Kakarot trying to sneak in some training while he's not looking.
i think Richard won the out of the box deck theme award for this episode
crim has my respect for running one of the most underrated commander to ever be put in a precon
Seth: Let me draw into bad saprolings!
Tomer: Let me draw into "dragons!"
Crim: Kill everyone with a board presence!
Richard: "I am the bone of my sword..."
Look at that is Friday again! Oh this is much longer than my lunch break, lol.
I cant' wait to watch this tonight!!!! I have a paper Rith deck of my own and I'm so excited to see Seth's version
So this is really delayed but I wonder if this works. Animate the battle axe. Steal it. Mutate onto it with your commander. Then sacrifice it. Battleaxe should go to your command zone even though you don't own the card.
44:58 theres a blast of static here can you fix?
Getting fixed in a few hours, sorry about that!
I love how crim got one permanent blown up by tomer when he destroyed one of each player's things, and then for the rest of the game had a vendetta against him. It's almost like he's biased.
For anyone surprised by how this game ended: welcome to Commander Clash!
Hey, there's a long history of amazing naturalist illustration and while I didn't bite on that Secret Lair I respect the concept. :)
first time i see an episode with facecams and i am SHOCKED about how different tomer looks than in my mind i thougth he would like marshall sutcliff but much older and I watched since season 1.
Wow what a classic game! Once again Tomer's greed gets him killed. Crim is the only one keeping him in check. I knew Richard would sit there quietly biding his time and then swoop in to get the win when the opportunity presented itself. Well done and GG~
I'm so happy to see Richard's Axe deck. It's all I want to see this game :D
Seeing a cyclonic rift in Richard's hand and him passing with 7 mana was like looking up and seeing the sword of Damocles hanging over the group
Tomer: punts half a dozen times.
Also Tomer: This deck doesn't do great
This is one of my favorite episodes so far! Watching these games makes me wish my play group was less uptight and more fun to joke around with rather than being so cutthroat XD
Richard's timing for the Ondu Inversion comment was on point. Just the moment after Seth drew it.
i love playing guided passage too, very underrated indeed
Yeah it's super sweet early game. Late game it can be meh as we saw because everyone just gets you ramp lol.
@@winssports4830 this card is always good if you politic right. example someone asks for a board wipe you say "ok give me a wipe and that other card and i will help"
I think I understand now how Richard is able to win so many games with such weird decks. All four are pretty good in deckbuilding, no doubt, but he has a more long term vision. He is able to see imediate threats, but he compels the other players to use their resources while he keeps the strong cards in his hands. I remember when I he played the "skip my turns" deck and kept his counter spell from the beginning of the game until the very moment that he didn't had other choice but use it. Everyone else seems to be much more scared all the time and imediatelly spend all their resources to stay alive while Richard keeps key cards for the right moment to go for the win. He also seems to have a better notion of the average value of cards, like "I can win attacking with a bunch of flying creatures", which is pretty reasonable, while other people seem to think such a concept is silly.
Seth and Tomer love drawing cards and they are better at setting value engines, Crim is really good at controling the board, but Richard is the one who cares more about finding a way to win the game instead of just "not dying".
The way Richard mentions Ondu Invertion right at the moment that Seth drew it was kinda spooky.
Seth - “I guess thats what X-Man would say” OUCH! That literally hurt when he said that! lmao
Nate gray is known as x man
RITH! One of my first edh decks. I lost mine, which had a Wooded Foothills and an Anointed Procession:(
No Massacre Girl token deck?! Tomer... I am disappointed.
Deadly drinking game: Take a shot for each time you thought Richard would use his Cyc Rift or Pact of Negation XDXDXD
crim littereally spent the entire game lying about targeting tomer......and lost to richard for it
I find it funny tomer complains that people target him after destroying crimes creatures then full swinging into him
The dramatic irony of watching Seth blow up Richard's Signet knowing that it just so happens to turn off Rich's Pact of Negation is truly juicy
Love the Fallen Empires thallid!! So many green colored memories paired w a keldon warlord!!!
Seth is playing Rith, that's great! Channeling his inner Brian Kibler. Now, we just need endless card flicking and we can really feel the return of The Dragonmaster.
The whole episode they're joking about Tomer doing math but nobody's gonna mention his abakus? That's just weak, Commander Clash crew. So weak. ;)
I love that Tomer was playfully bullied for the first 40 minutes, and almost certainly was a prime candidate for archenemy almost immediately afterwards.
As Jank as Richard’s definition of a token deck was this week; gotta say I love the deck
That tomer edit at 44:55 was jarring with headphones.
Like it sounds normal in both ears until then when tomer's voice is purely coming in the left side.
Ok, I have not watched the game yet, only the intros and I confirmed this by looking at the full deck lists in the article. 3 blue decks and NO CRAFTY CUTPURSE?
I'm 2:48 into the video. Seth is playing Saprolings. They are my favorite token type. I'm rooting for him.
jeez the flexing of the Seb swamp is a bit awk now
Crim and Tommer's petty conflicts are becoming painful to watch.
Threat assessment so bad
No dovescape? The best token maker???
Did Tomer suggest this theme specifically to give Dragon Tokens another shot? If so, I'm okay with it (haven't watched the vid yet)
Might I suggest that the face cams go over the right side of their hand. It just blocks the graveyard that way
Love you guys and everything you do...but please Crim, backup from the mic if you're laughing or work on some compression for the audio....sincerely my ear drums...keep rocking!
Is this just an unofficial stress test for MTGO? You aren't even hiding trying to break MTGO this week.
Tomer: *smiles*
Everyone: are we dead?
I laughed so hard during this episode my family wont let me watch magic content anymore
Love the idea of unlimited bladeworks deck
The Monarch on 4th thing sounds sweet, except it would probably make a lot of the actual monarch cards unplayable, in that a creature with evasion would probably be better to run than a card that makes you the Monarch, apart from Court-like benefits.
Wow. Richard really had an axe to grind.
Fungus would actually work if they put a spore counter on each fungus and not just themselves.
We were one minute away from greatness
Why not a Scry by turn order like Richard said? Not overly powerful but certainly plays against the advantages of the turn order.
Can we put up a counter each week to keep count of how many times some one says were friends or were dead
Guided Passage is a political machine. So good.
Just started watching this episode, I hope there is at least one blade of selves or else imma b sad.
My mono black deck actually runs anti token cards, as well as token producers and payoffs for tokens dying. So I kind of felt called out in the beginning.
When are the soks and sippycups coming?
love to buy them! :D
Is Tomer making speedrun attempts at quickest archenemy? =)
Could you do a pauper commander clash? Where you only use uncommon commanders and all the cards in the deck are commons?
We did it once in the early seasons of Commander Clash and didn't find it very fun (was too hard to kill anyone because the creatures are really weak but the removal is really strong). I expect if we try it again it will be with a twist of some kind (although I'm not sure what).
My preshow predictions involved Marit Lage, the best token of all time. Unfortunately didn't happen
Crim, how do I obtain the big UwU energy patch?
haven't started the video yet, but I feel like a better name for this might be moto crashing week.
I would say I'm surprised but I'm used to it now.
Ahh Tomer is slowly becoming Vince...”guys it’s token week” plays just good stuff with like a theme card.
Half the dragons in the deck makes tokens 🤷
MDFCs and no Stripmines are making Bouncelands good, but I would totally trade to get mass land destruction back and to get rid of Cyclonic Rifts again
Running Guided Passage for the purpose of ultimately meting out retributive responses against opps. who grant low-utility sets is some aught funny. 'Tis Crim's idea, though; I'm not taking credit.
There comes a point where the obvious "only hinder tomer despite seth popping off" strategy stops being funny. I think it's this game... crim crying about huatli ultimating after blatantly allowing it was peak dumb. Still love ya crim, you're better than that.
Damn that ending was mecha fun 🤩
REPEL INTRUDERS??? What a great win btw.
Is crim and tommer on the same to to be forced to work together,?
Seth the only way the Fungus plan works is if you got proliferate. Otherwise yes it's far too slow.
I want the Sprout Swarm Experience!
Richards deck should be called "random axe of violence"..cus axe sounds like acts..get it? made me laugh and now i feel clever, a legend in my own mind
If I had a dollar for every time someone at the table said "We are dead!" or "Are we dead?!?", I'd be rich enough to afford dinner tonight! Kind of wish I had been counting as I watched.
