5111 is only enough for barbs but 5511 is enough to fight on the field in my opinion but some players may also say 5551. You can pair Richard with sun tzu, athelflaed, and also ysg.
Each commander wheel appear 3 time and u can unlock them with minimum amount of Gem. in each wheel u can spin 3x Free attemp and 2x with 400 gem and one time 5x spin and in total u use 4400 gem and u get minimum 5x sculpture from 10x spin reward , and in total u guarantee to unlock the commander by 8800 gem!
Richard 5511 is real good for kvk1, especially you have suntzu, pair them together is good for open field fights. After that, just go all in gold heads to YSG. last but not least, MORE RISE OF KINGDOMS PLEASE!!!
In the late (after KvK 3) he is definitely worth. He's now, or in KvK 4 and higher , where Barbarians are level 40+ and costs a lot more AP than usually, a absolutely Barbarian farming beast. Specially for f2p he s definitely worth it, to invest in. I do it to now. Cause that is the most we do , barbarian forts ,or hunting barbarians. With him and YSG, Martell, or also Alex and so on, you can farm like forever. And by pulling more barbarian troops to you, i think nobody do, or tank it better than Richard, to fight many barbarians at the same time and by that safe a lot of ap.
Regardless of what you think of Richard, he is a MUST have for all players due to his unique active skill. How many GHs you put into him is dependent on how much you spend. I expertised... no regrets!
As a f2p you should really only eleven spin for gem efficiency 3 free spins and 3 half off spins and a 5 10% off spin. Even if you dont unlock him you can wait till the next wheel.
Richard is not worth maxing now lol but is still good btw the best garrison commander is Zenobia with Big red dude holding a stick korea 2nd one is thedora more likely zenobia wont lose in the future get zenobia so u can never lose if somone is going to attack you. Echo I think you shouldn't have get Richard, because when your Richard meet Saladin or Alex, both commanders have a skill that has a reduction of healing, I have a Card King in my kd rn, and I choose Attila even though I haven't had Richard I decided to get Attila, not because I'm cavalry gang, I'm infantry gang too just like you, so I would choose other commander rather than Richard, one of the old commanders that is still good for you is Charles Martel, because Lilith hasn't find any commander that can reduce Charles Martel's first skill. So if I were you I would never get Richard

he is tanky and very good for barbs with lohar also good in the open field

Richard is very good 5111 for f2p especially if you are infantry player its worth… his healing is extreme… its big tank
