Another fantastic video! And a great song choice 😄 The lyrics are very emotional, in both a wholesome and depressing way. Having lost many pets I can understand the pain. Animals have this unconditional love and loyalty that inspires us to love like that. So I can completely understand why we grieve so hard when we lose our pets. At about the 13:00 mark, you're touching on something philosophical in nature. For once, I don't have much to say because I haven't explored that topic yet, but you've definitely inspired me to research more! I will say, I have a feeling Genesis may give us some insight into this discussion. EDIT: I have yet to really dive deep into the above topic, but I did find some interesting thoughts on the "Imago Dei" (or Image of God) when researching Genesis. From John H. Walton "Genesis: NIV Application Commentary": "The image of God is an important theological concept both in Old and New Testaments, with roots that extend back into ancient Near Eastern thought. In the ancient world an image was believed in some ways to carry the essence of that which it represented. An idol image of deity, designated by the same terminology used here, was used in worship because it contained the deity’s essence. This does not suggest that the image could do what the deity did or that it looked the same as the deity (even though the idol was a physical object). Rather, the deity’s work was thought to be accomplished through the idol. The Hebrew word ṣelem (“image”) is a representative in physical form, not a representation of the physical appearance." Walton continues ". . . the governing work of God is seen in Genesis to be accomplished by people (1:28). But that is not all there is to the image of God. Information from other contexts that can be gleaned about the image includes that (1) the image of God is not lost at the Fall (9:6), though it must be somehow hampered or reduced, else it would not need to be restored; and (2) it does differentiate people from animals (9:6), though that does not mean that anything that differentiates is part of the image." He goes on to say a lot more, but it feels wrong to just copy and paste the entire section 😂 I do encourage people to (if possible) read from Walton's work itself to gain the full context that he writes.
I'm glad you enjoyed! And wow, I always love reading what you have to say haha. Wow, you just made me want to look even more into this subject, thank you for suggesting Walton's work! I like how we can have a discussion even about this topic.
I'm sorry for your losses! Losing pets can be hard especially when we have a strong bond to them. Thank you for looking after them though, it takes a special person to put time and effort into loving and taking care of their animals.
@@BudakKuchingBah Thank you for your condolences, it is much appreciated 💛 I love animals, mostly anything that is fluffy, but especially cats! They're just too cute 😄 And you're welcome for the recommendation. I need to read more (unfortunately that includes the bible 😣). Oh, unrelated, I did see that you posted a video on your other channel. I've been busy, but I will watch it and I shall write a comment. Tomorrow. Its 3 in the morning right now 😅
Awesome reaction! Rip Kuma 😢 The breakdown part “Make your cancer mine” hits me 🥲 look forward to more of your reaction vid . Support from Singapore 🇸🇬 Please react to Let Me Hear by Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas !
I was really not expecting this to get posted at this point, great reaction! I wasn't sure what your reaction would be tbh because the song is about such a unique topic. This is a very emotional song like you said. Most songs with lyrics like this one are about losing loved ones (as in, human loved ones) so if it weren't for the music video & doing a bit of research I wouldn't have known it was about a cat lol. It was cool to hear your thoughts though, losing a pet can be a lot more emotional than one would expect.
Great reaction!! I really appreciate the fact you read the lyrics and RIP Kuma 🥀
Thank you!
