I feel like I'm always getting stuck in the mindset of my home needing to be one singular cohesive style...but the truth is, I know what colors I like and my decor style ranges from Farmhouse--->Cottage---->Boho---->Mid century------Industrial.lol but I know the feeling I want my home to evoke, so that's what you need to think about when choosing decor for your home.
Love your surprise box! Really love our over all ever involving style! I to can't pick just one style, love so many, farmhouse is okay, but I have so many antique pieces, that I don't consider farmhouse. They are more of a mix of primitive & kinda Victorian. But that boho, is in my blood, since I was an original 70's boho child, when I started decorating my home & it always some how ends up in my home & is in my blood.. it totally draws me to it, but the primitive akways draws me in as well. So the mix is kinda I think they call it eclectic! I was fortunate to collect a few antique pieces, before they became so popular & would never trade them for any modern pieces.. And I have so many pieces I have had for such along time they are now considered vintage.. I am now at least considered vintage as well.. lol
Kailyn, your haircut, and hair coloring look great on you. You look younger( not that you looked old), it just suits you so well. That hairstyle just goes along with your personality, light, fresh, and grounded, if that makes sense. I loved all of your new decor pieces. Thanks for sharing❤
Hi Kailyn! Love your hair..it is beautiful! One thing about the wall of baskets...have you thought about giving them movement....like they are rolling off to the right? The reason I say that is that the writing on the sign has movement as well as the saying about the good old days..."time" moves, sometimes too fast as the saying implies. The baskets could move along starting at the left and then off to the right....think almost like a wave. Just a thought. It gives it even more of an artistic flair and ties in with the framed sign on a whole other level. The basket on the door by the couch is such a sweet item. It looks vintage and adds a lot of depth to the door.
