in 2004 you guys played in san antonio TX me and my best friend couldnt get tickets because it was sold out-- we ran into JT at a music shop down the street -- he put us on their guest list :) gave us merch and the whole band signed the hoodies we got, glad to see you guys get back to your roots, stay doing what you love and being genuine
+Aaron Reed JT is a super cool guy! He grew up not far from where I went to college so he used to play shows for the college. It was so awesome finally getting to meet him and talked to him about seeing them play at Warped Tour. Totally beat the crowd a Warped Tour and it was a lot more personal! :)
in love with this song. a lot of bands lose their way. their sound. they give into society and stigmas and you guys haven't ever lost that!! THIS is why I am still to this day listening to this band.
saw these guys in Southhaven, MS a couple of weeks ago & bought this album @ the show.(& got to meet JT). Been a fan since the first time i heard Ohio is 4 lovers & these guys still rock
I love their distinct guitar tone, especially on Skeletons, If Only You Were Lonely, and The Silence In Black and White. I just can't describe it. Are there any other bands that use a guitar sound similar to them?
Beautiful song. Good to see these guys still rockin, they obviously still have it in them! And Mark's screams - WOW!! Really got my hopes up for this EP :)
Oh fuck yes, this is awesome. I haven't been listening to HH lately, but I will always love this band. I'm glad they are still making music and they've returned to something akin to their old style.
It's funny because it tries so hard to sound like the old days, but they have so improved the lyrics and their musical capabilities and the result is surprisingly great, love this new/old direction they are taking.
This album definitely has its own vibe going on. Definitely pays homage to the first two records while still having it's own sound. I wouldn't say this is better than Zero or the last two EP's, rather a ever growing and maturing Hawthorne Heights. I also like the Four White Walls reference. Nice job guys!
+Seinos Collazo Did you not listen to Fragile Future or Skeletons? This is pretty much in line with those two albums, just add screaming and bam! Both great albums. Zero, their last album, was also very good. But I understand a lot of people wanted them to just stay the same as the early days.
They sound just like I remember back in the day, you guys are still awesome even without most of the original members, honestly sound better can't wait for what the future holds for you guys, well deserved!
Nobody's commented on this in 3 years, but I've heard this song almost every day for like the past two months now and I've coincidentally been going through some really awful shit, but I only bothered to look up what this song was today and I must say it's helped me through so much, it hits my soul in all the right ways. I was sure this was from the early 2000's..... gods, this song is so amazing, it's like such easy comfort, and not so surprisingly, it's been a really good song to cry to. :')
Hawthorne Heights, you guys are awesome! Been a fan since I heard This Is Who We Are on NCAA Baseball 06 and I now own every album and EP and I love them all! Keep making music! Because I know I'll love it. (I preordered Hurt the day if came out; I couldn't wait!)
shit this song gets to me choked up this reminds me of my break up damn THE NIGHTS THEY HURT LIKE HELL ITS BEEN A YEAR SINCE IVE BEEN WELL thanks hh u always have music for chapters in my life
holy crap! i havent listened to HH since 2010, is this their newer music after casey passed? i really hope these guys make a comeback! loving this song, bringing me back to 'the silence in black and white'
This is so "old-school", really had this early 00's emo/post-hardcore feel to it.
I am 26 but man this song made me feel like i was 15 again. Awesome.
the screams will never be like caseys but he would be proud of this #HawthorneReachingNewHeights
amazing back to their roots
Mid-2000s emo vibe, awesome!
Man this just brings me back to my The Silence in Black and White days.
I know right. Its refreshing. I'm so glad they didn't lose the sound they had after so long.
More so like the second album "If Only You Were Lonely" but both those albums are the best still to this day
These guys and Silverstein are the only two bands who have managed to grow without losing their signature sound from that era.
+Josh Sandler Yes!
+Josh Sandler still my 2 favorite bands
