AGAIN I WENT TO THE CHEVIOTS AS THE FORECAST WAS THE BEST AROUND, IT WAS FORECAST WIND BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD GET A GOOD TEST OF THE TENT. AND I DID, IT WAS WORSE THAN LAST WEEKS 37MPH. I WOULD SAY DOUBLE, FORECAST SAID 60-70MPH I WOULD AGREE WITH THAT. THE NOISE WAS THE PROBLEM,, THE TENT WAS OUTSTANDING IT NEVER BUDGED, PEGGED PROPERLY WITH DELTA PEGS IT WAS A TRUE BOMBSHELTER. DUE TO THE WIND IT WAS BONE DRY IN THE MORNING TOO. GREAT STUFF. THERES SOME DIALOGUE WHICH IS INAUDIBLE DUE TO THE WIND BUT I WAS JUST CURSING IT LOL

No such thing as bad weather apparently André 🤣 Must admit, I'd want to be in a Soulo if I was caught out in that. Well impressed with how good the audio is from the Hero10 considering how much wind there is.
There’s always bad weather and I’m usually out in it 😂 yeah definitely took the right tent. Good little test.

It wasn’t even tested. It’ll definitely take more than that. 80-90 mph I would estimate before it got worrying. Hopefully I’ll never find out 😂😂. Atb 👍
I've never owned a Hilleberg but I definitely get why they are superior especially the BL, I can't think of any other tent that could withstand that ...cheers all the best Andy 👍

@@markadriansneydms all tents get condensation...its not the tent its the drop in temperature when air gets cooled to its dew point
There may be other tents would cope but not many. I reckon it could take another 20-30mph easy. It didn’t seem windy from the inside. Unreal. Cheers for watching 👍
@@markadriansneydms like the comment below. Every tent even tarps and Bivvys get condensation if the temperature drops. It’s a fact of camping. It’s not solely hilleberg tents. That’s a old wives tale. 👍

Those little Olight bulbs are great. I have them for the kids as night lights. Have on on our bed as well. As a back up for power outages they are a brilliant little thing especially with the magnet in them. Looks like a nice camp you had.

Was on a three night camp in Bassenthwaite at the beginning of last week and the weather was very similar…..have to say I did enjoy watching this from the warm, dry sofa!!!
😂 yeah always better on the sofa. It’s mad but at the time just feels normal. I’m hoping for a bit less dramatic weather So far I’ve not had that 😂. Atb 👍
So there's no ventilation mesh on the Helleberg tent?
Looks like just two nylon walls; the yellow tent walls and the outer green walls.
Seems like that tent would be blood hot and stuffy in warmer weather.
It can be hot in summer. But it’s main function is a cooler/extreme weather tent. It’s 4 season but it performs best in the other 3. I rarely use it on summer unless the forecast is high winds. Which this year has been quite a lot. There’s a vent above the door. And you can leave the mesh inner open too. I’ve never felt uncomfortable in it. Even in hot weather. But I mix my shelters in those seasons. Cheers for watching. Atb 👍

I’ve got the original olight bulb although it’s great really bright red light and different light settings I can’t get away with the shape it’s terrible to pack because its round and a few times I’ve found it turned on when unpacking my kit because something has pushed against it in transit by accident, a physical on off switch would have been better I think. You just love the bloody wind mate im convinced you have a wind editing function when uploading videos makes a calm day look like the world is about to end 🤣 lakes for me on Friday somewhere around kirkstone red screes bet it’s wild☔️💨
😂 I love the wind so much it’s in my next video too 😂😂 this new version of the bulb (which I didn’t demonstrate) has a travel mode. You long press it. It turns on then goes off. And it won’t come on until you long press it again. I’m liking it. The blue light got me to sleep last night. Dead calming.

I’ve used ear plugs and headphones with ski goggles but if your with friends your can’t hear them talking

Hi it was approximately 50-60mph gusts in this. And yeah I’ve done stir fry. And also lots of other stuff. 👌

@@AndyWardle i had a The North Face Mountain 25 for over 15 years .. the poles where on the inside which kept the inner tight and not one mm of flapping .. even in really storm gales it didn’t make a sound .. so it does matter what tent you use ..

What was the other pegs you used mate I’ve just lost one V peg for my red label and want to replace them with something stronger what was those red pegs you had mate
I use deltas on the guylines and the other ones are alpkit spikes. There’s other companies make similar too. Pretty good like. They can bend but won’t snap. I’ve used these for years. Atb. 👍

A bit expensive that light. It’s still gannin strong mind. Yeah I like my budget tents but for wild weather it’s the soulo. It’ll be back once it gets rough. 👍
@@AndyWardle yes i use the cloud peak 2 and for winter camps i have just bought the oex bobcat 1 mate the first one not the ultra light summer one they have just brought out mate don,t like that one. my bobcat 1 looks a good little tent to go camping in because im like you mate i like my cold winter camps and the cloud peak is a 3 season so hoping the bobcat cuts it in the winter i should get it friday
