I remember being 12 years old (2006) going into a gun store and seeing Kit build AKs going for $350. A Yugo Ak sold for $300 because it sat on the shelf for so long. Now, that same gun shop sold a century arms Yugo for $1000 after it sat on the shelf for 3 days.
The days of cheap AKs are over. But more people seem to respect and love the AK today than they used to.

This video is just motivation for me, got into aks in 2016 but missed all the cool stuff and low prices because I was still a ar guy. Currently have some really cool stuff but will continue getting imports until I die or they dry up! Awesome collection klay!!!!
Don't sleep on Palmetto State Armory. They've made some badass stuff and if the past is any indication, they'll make more fancy AK stuff in the future as well.

I have about as many AK's as you do Klay, but I don't have as many mods to most of them... that being said, I'm stupid glad I was able to get the rifles I have even though I started comparatively "late" in the AK game (9 years ago). People thought I was crazy for paying $1199 for a Def Arms Dakm romainian DAKM 63r, and now people are begging for me to let it go for $2K. Same with a lot of my kit builds. with the changes to import laws and the absolute dearth of decent kits on the market, I have one from most of the major countries, including some RPK kit builds that are almost priceless these days. Simply put, it's amazing what we have available at our fingertips at one time

So crazy how much aks go up in value. I could not buy half of what I have if I did not buy them 5-10 years ago. That is what I tell everyone aks always go up in value while ar’s are a dime a dozen and you can always buy one for $400/500.

I traded an AR pistol for a Wasr 10/63 and I love it. I put a battlefield pick up Romanian dong furniture set on it with trench art. One of my favorite rifles for sure. Can’t bring myself to modernize it though. Great video as always

I just got a vepr54r "square back" w/ adjustable gas system 2 10rnd mags 1 5rnd mag and 150rnds of Czech surplus for $700. Gunbroker lists them around 3k-4k.... Like new condition doesnt even have safety scratch yet. I was tickled pink. Still havent broke it in but the factory 2stage trigger is crap feeling. Gotta try an agl. I have single stage g2 in my saiga 223 and prefer the single stage. Nice collection.
If you haven't hit up Jay Trevillian, you should check out his furniture. Had a walnut Galil MAR handguard made with a few AK grips, and have been super pleased with 'em.
This is awesome! Wish i knew more about the ak platform. I have a few that i would love to kit out one day but i dont know where to start. I have a Bulgarian circle 10 ak74 and a rpk that i got for dirt dirt cheap but dont know anything about them.

Guns almost always go up in value. So many of my guns have tripled in value. I bought one of the DOE AR 9’s on a random bid years ago I really wasn’t even trying to buy it now that gun alone is crazy money

That's so cool to hear really glad to know that you got into the hobby. I'm sure Rachel would be very happy to read this. As far as the video idea I could probably throw something like that together. Really all I do, everything goes in a gun safe and I leave a bunch of de-humidifying packs in the bottom of the gun safe that I switch out maybe once a year. Most gun saves will have an access area to bring in a cord so that if you want to have a plug in de-humidifier, that's also a good option.
@@KLAYCO47 Thanks for the response! I have two golden rods in the bottom of my safe, and a gauge to read temp and humidity. Says it’s ok…but just want to be sure. Thank you for another great video. Just wanted to tell you that I have 5 Mitchell Arms M77’s. The only difference I can tell with the original M70/77 stocks was the M70 had the serial number on the stock and the M77 didn’t but looks the same. The original M77 was made to compete on the NATO market but came in the race a little too late. However feel blessed to have the gun you have because the scope rail on the original M77 was proprietary and didn’t even match the M76. There were so few imported that if you “could” find one they would be outrageously priced and there were no magazines available until CSSPECS made them! Plus yours is chrome lined but mine has the dead tritium flip up sights and yours doesn’t. I’m so glad these are back in the race. But 2 of my M77’s are the bipod heavy finned barrel guns. Again no chrome. But very accurate and very reliable! More I could say about these but your present stock is pretty much the same as an original M77 stock. Thank you again. Great collection

@@funwithguns. no problem. Mine is stamped also with the bulged trunnion and has about a 20” barrel with dead flip up tritium night sights. The wood is interchangeable with the M70 but I hate the scope rail because nothing fits it. I do have a modified Dragonov PSO-1 Russian 4x scope on it. Flash hider is long. Almost as long as a Dragonov. And 3 position adjustable gas ring.

Yeah! South Africa was the first thing that came to mind :) The Israelis sold a lot of Galils to SA and that color scheme resembles the SA battle vest. Ironically, that brown color was from the British safari uniforms used in the Boer-wars around 1900 - their first modern uniform
Unironically, Israel was thick as thieves with SA back when color schemes were of the utmost importance to the apartheid government. Seems like the relationship has been deteriorating since the early 90s 😂

I have a Saiga sporter 7.62x39 with a Carolina Shooter Supply trunnion and trigger group conversion. I've threaded the barrel with the a M14x1 LH to M26x1 adapter to run the same attachments as my M92 PAP. I'd like to do the Arsenal conversion style like yours with the factory folder style stock and handguard. I bought the gun new in 2013 I believe it was before Hussain banned them. Do you have a recommendation for who could do the work to it? I really like the look of the AK103 like yours so much and like it to be like that as well.
Few people's used to say bad when I talked about purchasing new gun. But it seems you collected huge quantity of AK Guns in ur personal possession.. Wow. 🤠

This video got me extra hyped for my Tantal rebuild. Got it cause it was originally built the year I was born 1991. It will be 100% all matching. Custom serial number on the Childers receiver. Correct left and right side selectors. ****Original barrel**** of course ALG AKT-UL FCG. Got the correct polymer and steel mags. Bayonet and bipod. Just gotta get a nice side rail mount and optic since she folds to the right. Also it is being rebuilt by the best builder in the country in my opinion. She’s been gone well over a year already. If you want an AK built by the best. Might as well forget about it once it’s sent off. I still owe for labor and paint. Original owner used enamel paint like a jackass.

I bought a Romanian Nova CD Pak9, the first gen one with the front sight post and its ugly, but ugly to the point were it's cool. So I appreciate 9mm ak's.
Its absolutly a POS tho because the dust cover is so unstable that anything you mount to it will definitely not hold zero despite it being a hinged cover. So I reserve it mostly for sitting in the back of my safe never being used and if I do pull it out to shoot it, its 25 yards and in and the groups are still laughably large.
I may take it a new recoil spring rod and try to friction fit with the dust cover but it's not worth my time or money tbh.

When running suppressor, do you have a favorite regarding noise. I have a couple in my cart, but cant decide. Wolverine looks great but seems loud AF on videos. Wolfman and Nomad seem like better options (threads are concentric) so if you have a preference, llease let me know

Well, I'm the last dude to ask about combat BUT... I think the "ALPHA" 556 AK. Common ammo, It can take a suppressor, It can be tuned for the suppressor, the zenitco Is extremely robust, holds zero and allows you to bolt just about anything you would ever need on it. Plus the b33 rail is great for magnified options. Has a rock solid folding stock with a cleaning kit. So yeah I think that would be the one if I had pick.
Hey man I just missed the live. I was wanting to ask you if you've ever had negative effects with the alg trigger in any of your ak's? Haven't been in the game long but have a m70, m77 and wasr10. Heard concerns that it could flower bolt tail. You and Rob Ski are the go to guys. Keep up the good work brother!
Just like Klayco I use ALG's on a ton of rifles and no, they will not hurt a thing. The old tapco g2 triggers would damage taiks due to them being harder than the carrier. Even so, they would flare them a bit and then not progress much further. Clean up the tail with a few swipes of a file and you were good to go

I got a wasr for like $375 for a trunk gun. Ended up putting like $250 into it. I cant believe how expensive they are now. Base model is like $800 and tac'd out theyre like $1100. I wish i bought more when i was younger
I hear you man- I recently tallied up my collection and it was a similar amount. I only have a few AK variants but also a large variety of solid mil weapons from all over (bullpups, pistons, etc) I was wondering if you’re still enjoying your Cetme L??
The Cetme L was cool but I didn't keep it long. Mine broke several parts rather quickly, so I moved it along.
Was so sad when ya cut the front end of the 106. Think that was the first video I saw back in the day.when it was still “stock”. Either that or the Draco maybe.
