*Just a few friendly Carnotaurus size measurement corrections:* 1) 4 meters in height is as tall as FMNH PR 2081, Sue the Tyrannosaurus (which weigehd 9 tonnes). Theropods also most likely never stood erect. 3 would be the maximum. 2) Carnotaurus holotype MACN-CH 894 was 8 meters in maximum length. 10-11 meters is Suchomimus size. 3) A bite force of 1 to 3 tons is Suchomimus to Spinosaurus bite force. As we all know, Carnotaurus has a relatively weak bite force, only slightly stronger than Allosaurus'. Carnotaurus displays a short and deep skull, something which is characteristic of the abelisaurid group. Despite this height depth however, the skull was very narrow, and the mandible was very small. This means that Carnotaurus did not have the requirements to support strong muscle attachment, and as such it probably had quite a weak bite force, especially when compared to the large tyrannosaurids and/or large spinosaurids (Suchomimus and Spinosaurus).
I heard that Carnotaurus might have used its head like an axe when biting, chopping of large chunks of flesh, which was also made possible by its articulated lower jaw, allowing for more meat to be swallowed at once.
There were some problems with this vid. Baryonyx would've stood more of a chance. Carnotaurus was yes, quick but would have not been able to use it's speed too often when engaged in combat. Carnotaurus was an ambush predator with a very stiff tail which meant it couldn't turn so easily and it didn't hunt sauropods. Even if it did that would be quite rare. Carnotaurus likely hunt small dinosaurs, swallowing them whole or even hunt dinosaurs it's size biting the animal until it dropped dead. Carnotaurus' biggest disadvantage in this fight is that it was an ambush predator. It's hunting strategy would be similar to a cheetah. This fight is kinda like pitting a Cougar against a Cheetah.
Then again baryonyx did hunt small fish so carno gets fight and hunting experience and carno may have fought sayropods and armoured dinosaurs because they lived with each other
I would have thought more 50 - 50 It's been suggested that the carno's skull would not have been strong enough to use for headbutting and the horns where angled weird so I doubt that would be a great weapon Also the evidence for the baryonyx are all adolescents from what I can find so may have been larger - some even say about the size of a suchomimus Great video anyway!
Fam its horns were not razor sharp, they didnt even served as weapons cuz they pointed to the sides. Edit:And fam Carnotaurus is not agile, the extremely stiff tail ensured it to run forward at rapid speads but the turning was super bad,so agility is scrapped.
scelidosaurus914 GomezDefender Yup,or for ramming and pushing but not like modern cattle and other animals use it....For stabbing IF an animal got in the way of the horns, but the obvious reason why animals use horns is mating porpouses, pushing, ramming and fighting.
Tyrannosaurus Rex yes certainly also a baryonyx wouldn't get killed that easily because a carno jaws are still weak to break the ripcage of the baryonyx
scelidosaurus914 GomezDefender Yup,not to mention the turning speed for Carnotaurus is shit thanks to the super stiff tail. Even the actual "stiff tails" or Tetanurans turned way more quickly.
Fight Begins. Carnosaurus charges at Baryonyx. Baryonyx steps to the side and bumps Carnosaurus's side. Carnosaurus can't get up. Baryonyx enjoys a little play time before dinner.
Honestly, the outcome of this battle depends on location. If it takes place near a water source: Baryonyx wins 80% of the time. I think Baryonyx would be able to drag Carnotaurus into deeper water, and then finish him off with his claws. On land, it goes to Carnotaurus.
I respect your opinion lol, I don’t want to be a toxic youtube comment section person but I do disagree. People often say that between an aquatic Dinosaur and land dinosaur if it’s near water than the aquatic one will win or have the advantage but unless the fight actually takes place inside the water then the aquatic Dino will obviously win. If the battle were 10 meters away from the water it makes no other difference to the fight other than the baryonyx having an escape plan. I think the Carnotaurus wins 80% of the time. I’ll give you a scenario I’m which both Dino’s win. Carno: a baryonyx catches a fish and takes it to shore to eat, a hungry carno challenges the Bary for the food but the bary doesn’t back down the carno uses it’s superior speed and quick snapping bite to clamp down on the baryonyx, then uses its powerful legs to press the dinosaur on the ground and bleed it out. Bary: A thirsty Carnotaurus goes for a drink of water when a Bary uses this opportunity to jump out of the water and catch the carno by surprise and drag it to the water to drown it. The problem with the aquatic logic is that the carno is too heavy for the bary to bring back to shore if it was drowned so the fight would have to take place on land.
Humans: look I can explain... Baryonyx: you have 5 fingers on each hand with elbows and I only have 3? T Rex: you have 3? I only have 2 Carnotaurus: you guys are getting elbows?
Stop using JW evolution for some of these fights. This fight is 50/50, Carnotaurus actually had very weak jaws for it's size, Baryonyx had stronger jaws than garvials, its not that weak. Carnotaurus was faster, but less agile. 2021: I changed my tune here, after looking at a size comparison, Carnotaurus is too big for Baryonyx to take on. Keep in mind Carnotaurus has a terrible turning radius. Not only that, but keep in mind Carnotaurus is no stranger to fighting *herbivores.* I keep explaining why this is important due to the fact that Carnotaurus probably would shit himself if he saw another exotic predator (Same can be said for Baryonyx), it has never dealt with something with not only weird jaws, but arms as well. Carnotaurus would probably run away.
Well indominus would clearly have a massive size and weight advantage with stronger arms and bite force, but indo with no doubt had strong arms, claws, and a bite to. It would be like a velociraptor fighting indo, using speed to get on its back and slash and bite, but indo was no doubt twice as large, deadly, and.powerful as a raptor. And while both are highly intelligent i think indoraptor would have an advantage with being smarter
ThePhoenix - HUN indo rex easily . The Indoraptor struggled against blue while the Irex took on Rexy and Blue and was still going on till the Mosasaurus came and bite it . Just a bite from the i rex and i raptor is dead . The indo rex has everuthing the indpraptor has but its bigger , heavier and stronger . Indominus rex wins easily .

Carnotaurus skull was actually too weak to withstand headbutting & it was also not agile at all. It's tail was extremely stiff limiting it's maneuverbility (which it didn't really need beeing a pursuit predator)
This battle is like a miniature version of spinosaurus vs Tyrannosaurus it's like making a lion fight an shark it's impossible cause if they fight on land they baryonix wold be out of its element and lose as same for Carno in the water
Prehistoric Studios, correct. It's like this guy gets his research from a game (Jurassic World). Carnotaurus's horns were to small to be used for combat..
I am grateful for this video. The information was very clear and quick, the narrative was interesting, and overall satisfying. I thought that that baryonyx was going to win, but I didn’t really know the stats.
Felipe Vale well he got the bite force, and size of carnotaurus wrong. Carno could’t of used his head as a weapon and the had the superior agility and it’s bite force was no where near that of an alligator and it seemed to be more suited for hunting small game and not large animals like baryonyx and they are of equal height and length.
In Ark Bary is one of the best ground mounts, can swim faster than a Spino, has a useful stunning tailwhip that can diable any sea dino, on land it can run faster than a raptor and its the Meta Dino for clearing cave dungeons. Ive also killed a lot of Carnos with it. In a game scenario they have far better utility than Spino and T-rex.
I think he won't because they are far to similar. But sucho has a size advantage, and i think bary had a bite advntage because it had a wider brouder snout that would possibly be stronger than suchos skinny snout
This aquatic predator is a relative to the Spino and Sucho and appears in films such as Ice Age as Rudy or in Fallen Kingdom. We just need to apply to the Baryonyx as it did for the Suchomimus. We scale my estimations for the Suchomimus bite force to the smaller Baryonyx. It's bite was several hundred pounds stronger than an Average Bull Shark. * Height----- 7.2 - 11.15 ft / 2.2 - 3.4 m (head) Length----- 25 - 33 ft / 7.6 - 10 m Weight----- 2,600 - 3,700 lbs / 1.3 - 1.85 tons Bite Force: 1,520 - 1,710 lbf / 6,760 - 7,800 Newtons - thats barynoyx stats form real life
Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, measuring 7.5 to 9 m (24.6 to 29.5 ft) in length and weighing at least 1.35 metric tons (1.33 long tons; 1.49 short tons). As a theropod, Carnotaurus was highly specialized and distinctive. It had thick horns above the eyes, a feature unseen in all other carnivorous dinosaurs, and a very deep skull sitting on a muscular neck. Carnotaurus was further characterized by small, vestigial forelimbs and long, slender hindlimbs. The skeleton is preserved with extensive skin impressions, showing a mosaic of small, non-overlapping scales approximately 5 mm in diameter. The mosaic was interrupted by large bumps that lined the sides of the animal, and there are no hints of feathers. The distinctive horns and the muscular neck may have been used in fighting conspecifics. According to separate studies, rivaling individuals may have combated each other with quick head blows, by slow pushes with the upper sides of their skulls, or by ramming each other head-on, using their horns as shock absorbers. The feeding habits of Carnotaurus remain unclear: some studies suggest the animal was able to hunt down very large prey such as sauropods, while other studies find it preyed mainly on relatively small animals. Carnotaurus was well adapted for running and was possibly one of the fastest large theropods and carno bite force is 754 psi :/ the real life carno
3:30 You can't put "Used to fighting" The Baryonyx actually had great power to a Carnotaurus. Believe it or not, the Baryonyx was used to fighting as well.
@@suchomimustenerensis well of course allo and carno did not meet because they lived far from eachother and carno would have a higher chance of winning due to its higher amount of speed
You forgot the fact that carnotaurus sucked at moving sidewards, it's slim body and stiff tail made it really bad for turning corners, raise that 30% of the bary to a good solid 54%, Baryonyx would be able to easily manuever around the carno and ram into it, sending it falling, because of it's puny arms it takes it a while to get up, Baryonyx uses this as an advantage and bites down on the spinal chord of the Carno, rendering it incapacitated, then finishing it off with a bite to the neck. In a real life scenario this is a more plausible verdict than the one in the video. Carnotaurus was a runner, not a racer.
Carnotaurus's jaws were very rough and it couldn't bite but it's horns weren't big enough to penetrate it's victims and because of useless arms useless jaws and useless horns it couldn't fight so it ate small and dead dinosaurs. Plus baryonyx was larger and heavier and it would win like 90 percent of the time who agrees?
You do know that a real carnotaurus was only 9 metres long right and that its horns were not weapons and that a baryonyx definitely had a stronger bits than you said it did!!!!!!!! #baryonyxwould win !!!!!!!!!
Carno doesn't use its head for headbutt because it has a weak skull and they just do a rustle fight with other carno for a mate. And its horns don't really do any thing
The difference is that Mapusaurus hunted in packs and Giganotosaurus Hunter alone or in smaller packs. Also Mapusaurus teeth was more perfect compared to Giganotosaurus teeth.

Which I am eternally great full for viral killer👍🏻 also I got a good ideas for the next one a fight of the weak dinosaurs 🦖 ceratosaurus vs baryonyx
Are you sure about this? Recent thinking now says Carnotaurus was a smaller dinosaur that initially thought, and is now thought off as a fast runner, able to chase down ornithopods like fleeing medium-sized duckbills, but left the far more dangerous sauropods to the more massive Mapusaurus, Giganototsaurus and the like, and even then they'd need help there! I never quite bought the idea that Carnotaurus's jaws were so weak as initially thought-perhaps the bone just wore away over the time before the first skull was found. If it's true that the head could deliver a powerful butt, that makes sense and leads even more credence to Carnotaurus as a running predator over a short distance, looking to whack and immobilise ornithopods to the floor where he could claw them down and then begin biting. I think Baryonyx must have hunted some dinosaurs-if he got the drop on a half-grown Iguanodon, or toppling an Acanthopholis, he wouldn't have turned them up. No large meat-eating terrestrial animal exists on fish alone, so Spinosaururs and all them were still dangerous to Ouranosaurus and other dinosaurs, including ,say, a not quite yet adult Charcardontosaurus.
LOL, you're right XD Then how about Tyrannosaurus Rex vs Sarcosuchus Imperator. I really wish for this fight to happen. Or what about Mosasaur vs Ichtiosaur? However that is spelled.
This could go two ways: Bary winning: As carnotaurus with a great speed rushes to ram bary, bary claws him making carnotauruses head go in the opposite way, good to bite carno and claw him, then carno gets scared and runs away Carno winning: Carno somehow rams bary few times making it bleed by carnos horns and then falling on the ground by ramming, and basically carno bitting neck In water: You know who is the winner.
If the battle happened near the sea or a lake, the Baronyx would win 60% of the fights, since he could try to drown the Carnotaurus. But the Carno would probably release himself from the Bary's claws with his strong legs, go back to the surface and run away.
I was expecting to see some comments saying “no barry should have won!”
But that's because carno would have won at least I think so and mega dinosaur
It would win
When the dinosaurs were "fighting" I noticed that the baryonyx was a Suchomimus....

Ive also killed a lot of Carnos with it. In a game scenario they have far better utility than Spino and T-rex.
Please do baryonix vs Suchomimus
Suhomimus WAS bigger
Discussion Video Talker Nikhil Reddy it would win
Discussion Video Talker Nikhil Reddy true, but not by much
I think he won't because they are far to similar. But sucho has a size advantage, and i think bary had a bite advntage because it had a wider brouder snout that would possibly be stronger than suchos skinny snout
Suchomimus obviously
This aquatic predator is a relative to the Spino and Sucho and appears in films such as Ice Age as Rudy or in Fallen Kingdom. We just need to apply to the Baryonyx as it did for the Suchomimus. We scale my estimations for the Suchomimus bite force to the smaller Baryonyx. It's bite was several hundred pounds stronger than an Average Bull Shark.

- thats barynoyx stats form real life
Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, measuring 7.5 to 9 m (24.6 to 29.5 ft) in length and weighing at least 1.35 metric tons (1.33 long tons; 1.49 short tons).
Shut up
DaMansionBuilder no he has a point
Carnotaurus didn't have any big rivals
Baryonyx had to deal with neovenator and Eotyrannus.
@@suchomimustenerensis well what mega top tens means carno fought other large therpods baryonyx fought smaller therpods
DaMansionBuilder Carnotaurus didn't fight a 2 ton allosaurioid, it fought smaller theropods that weighed around half a ton.
Carnotaurus vs majungasaurus
The_Thiccest The_Thiccest *Carnotaurus
Splinter Cell my bad
Carnotaurus's jaws were very rough and it couldn't bite but it's horns weren't big enough to penetrate it's victims and because of useless arms useless jaws and useless horns it couldn't fight so it ate small and dead dinosaurs. Plus baryonyx was larger and heavier and it would win like 90 percent of the time who agrees?
I'd say Bary would Win 60 - 70% Of the time.

Giganotosaurus vs Mapusaurus
MrDuckyWizard these two were almost the same what is their diffrences??
In my opinion it would be a 50/50.
They are super close relitives almoast identicle it could not posiblely be more even (I like it though)
The difference is that Mapusaurus hunted in packs and Giganotosaurus Hunter alone or in smaller packs. Also Mapusaurus teeth was more perfect compared to Giganotosaurus teeth.
Giganotosaurus wins It because is heavier and bigger

Hi
Jake Gossage hi 🤗
In Jurassic world
He probably mean in real life
Carnotaurus' horns weren't used in battle
I'm just wondering why you refer to a factually inaccurate game for a supposed fight outcome.
RAITHEHOTDOG ikr
RAITHEHOTDOG plus, there’s more than one outcome, yet he only plays one
he doesn't rely on it completely. it's just interesting to see what the game makes of it before actually analyzing who would probably win.
@frnk Never said he did. I was wondering why he *refers* to it.
did you edit your comment to say "refer?" I noticed it was edited. I was just wondering if I read it wrong or if you changed it. but anyway, I still don't see a problem with it considering he obviously also goes in depth with the facts of each dinosaur in order to predict the outcome.

Hey maybe you can hire a animator for your dino battles?
Howcome i never see a warvivore (herbivore that can fight) in your videos? I WANT A TRICERATOPS VS CARCHARODONTOSAURUS!!!!!

Gumball the Baby Triceratops And there are herbivores vids like this. Search MegaTopTens T.rex vs Triceratops
Triceratops would probably be victorious.
RAITHEHOTDOG Yup,Carcharodontosaurus MIGHT be one of the biggest and heaviest theropod genuses, but it was not nearly as powerful and experienced to take down a walking tank with 3 horns,a frill and body armor with 10 tons
RAITHEHOTDOG No Carchar would destroy it it.
But Baryonyx bones weren't fully grown though

T-Rex vs Tarbosaurus,Torosaurus vs Triceratops,Brachiosaurus vs Sauroposeidon
Try to do a battle between a Carnotaurus vs Suchomimus
I recognize this guy's voice. Did he split his channels? Cause I remember a different channel he had

Carcharodontosaurus vs giganotosaurus
A random guy on the Internet Carcharodontosaurus would won because is like Tiger Vs Lion
Good point
This could go two ways:
Bary winning:
As carnotaurus with a great speed rushes to ram bary, bary claws him making carnotauruses head go in the opposite way, good to bite carno and claw him, then carno gets scared and runs away
Carno winning:
Carno somehow rams bary few times making it bleed by carnos horns and then falling on the ground by ramming, and basically carno bitting neck
In water:
You know who is the winner.
Baryonyx VS Suchomimus
Utahraptor vs Baryonyx
3 Dilophosaurus vs Carnotaurus
Carnoturus actually had a stiff tail so if it tried to make a sharp tern it would fall over so carnoturus is not at all agile.
Carno is a size of a dilophosaurus
It is not. It's more than 3 times the size.
If the battle happened near the sea or a lake, the Baronyx would win 60% of the fights, since he could try to drown the Carnotaurus. But the Carno would probably release himself from the Bary's claws with his strong legs, go back to the surface and run away.
