If you don't love it JM, blame the weather. In those dismal, grey, damp conditions both you and the RS6 were suffering from sunlight deprivation. Get the RS6 onto a twisty, sunny road in Spain and you will want to elope with it to a little anonymous cottage somewhere in cheese, olives and wine country where you will spend days driving it and nights reading sultry extracts from the owners manual to each other. :-)
The fake grilles and vents and that awful diffuser really do ruin the looks of this car, also the wheels are FAR to big they look ridiculous, the previous RS6 might not have been restrained, but it could be quite subtle especially in a dark colour. Audi need to stop ruining their designs with all the ‘Max Power’ vents and oversized wheels and get back to subtle, familiar designs.

I guess they even profit more from honest reviews like seen here comparing to people which just repeat the press release while driving. - Great Review again! @@JayEmmOnCars It so funny sometimes when you have worked in the business and see those little details sometimes. There is a new car and on each channel. they tell you the same technical details, the history behind the idea, what the goals are the car wants to achieve, how better this and that feels because it`s improved by x percent, how light the this and that is now because it lost 5 pounds. It`s kind of reading down the press release or mirroring the press presentations you have before lunchtime. One guy talks, videos, and graphics are shown - and that`s what you hear from 85% of the journalists later on. When I see that pattern its kind of boring and eye-rolling moment. So I am very pleased for more "unconventional" reviews.

And yes, Audi those fake exhausts on everything and the S6 has lost me as a fan too. OK so that means nothing to you since I cannot buy, but still, I'm sure there are people who can buy your cars who will switch. "Our way or the highway" only works when your better than the competition
Go to an Audi dealer and ask to sit in this car, i guarantee you, that you will like this interior. As far as the "my way or the highway", there are a ton of interior specs you can get this in, with different materials and styles when ordering this car. I dont see how BW or Benz would be any diff?

Not sure I'd call it a joke per se but the level of equipment you DON'T get is.
Wait for the 3 year depreciation gap then prices will be more realistic
@@staceymcgrath3376 this is true, especially since this model is arguably less desirable than out going model, so I'd bet this could loose more money over the same amount of time.
Fair and objective review as always James, thank you
If you don't love it JM, blame the weather. :-)
The front corners look like a bad mod that someone said "faffed around long enough" "it will do"!
Amazing car! I'm sure they'll do an RS6 Performance+ verison down the line, make it harder edged, give it an extra 30-40hp.
This sums up Audi.
Good cars but you wouldn't.
Luv and Peace.
new tuned software will fix power delivery issues and gearbox speed as well...
I’d recommend comparing the RS6 to the Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo (not the S) as a direct competitor.
Great video man but would you have the e class over it?
Can't help but think that the A6 avant looks more like a hatchback than it does an estate.
Well as a current C7 owner I can't say I am unhappy with that verdict, it was roughly what I have been expecting for a long time, I note you didn't mention anything about it's mild/lite hybrid capabilities....or it's vibrating throttle....
There is mention of the hybrid system at the end I think. The vibrating throttle pedal was simply annoying.
@@JayEmmOnCars Sorry if I missed that bit, it is why I was very happy with the C7 this model will be sanitised by its smart electronics....I think.. but I will wait until I get my invite... :-)
Great video & the exhaust is a beast! The large wheels would make it bumpy?
Sounded like a lawnmower at the start
So if you wouldn’t go for this what would you get if you needed fast estate? E63amg ? Panamera tourismo?
For me yeah either of those. I mean the Panamera started off as a joke. But it's a really good car now that looks good. I'd choose it over this......not that I ever be in that position
invisiblekid99 Nor me, I’d be happy with a 330d touring with a few miles on it!
I respect this channel. I don't love it. Though I love the RS6.
how can u not like the looks of the RS6 🤔 it`s the best looking car in the "power-sedan/stationwagon" segment, atleast in my opinion.
There is just ONE 200 mph stationwagon in the World, and that's not a Audi or a Mercedes, but a BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring
Wrong the Alpina B5 & B6 Bi-Turbo touring tested at 198mph, while there are other wagons that were tested over 200; BMW M5 touring 205, Bently SuperSports Flying Star 205, or you could get the ABT Audi RS 6 avant.
Detonate Klubstompers ABT is a tuner so it’s a tuned rs6 and not longer a stock one like a Alpina.
Didn’t know the Bentley is a station wagon?
@@klubstompers There ain't at BMW M5 Touring. The one and only 200 mph factory Touring stock car is the BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring.
The E60 M5 had a touring version
@@JayEmmOnCars Yes, it had, back then.
Blackforrest has some epic roads! Modeltrain country...
Just replaying the first 30 seconds over and over again.
I've got a longer version coming for you to enjoy
I'm not sure it's actually that 'wild'looking tbh. I'm looking at one now and massive wheels aside it's a nice looking car but the previous gen is more menacing imo. Also the amount of fake honeycomb is really naff
Opening scene thought you were test driving a Flymo
This looks fantastic..cartoonishly good..is that the same car Joe Achilles had?
I love my mint B7 3.0tdi before dpf manual with stage one map. It would give this a run for its money I can tell you. 300+ horse 470nm torque half the weight lol.
Very concise. Thank you.
Wow...74k subscribers...this channel is growing...keep it up...next.. subs meet ups...
Thanks! Meet ups are hard but I am thinking about it
Meet up, YES. Make it so JM :-)
RS6 and Gateau yummy
I’m just waiting for the Audi Rs6 Avant will come back to my city of New York in Autoshow.
Audi UK seems to like your honest reviews like we average viewers do. Otherwise, I can't explain why they get you in one car after another. Not even mentioning the stripping of legendary race cars (even in our technical endurance racing facebook group this video was a hit). I guess they even profit more from honest reviews like seen here comparing to people which just repeat the press release while driving. - Great Review again! The sound is nuts for a stock 2020 EU Car. Most modern engines sound way more tamed than that because of the stu** EU regulations.
Yep, Audi just like honest content from passionate petrolheads, they're great people to work with
@@JayEmmOnCars It so funny sometimes when you have worked in the business and see those little details sometimes.
People may buy one, but I expect these to be the next golf r in terms of being stolen.
Does it feel clinical as if it's driving itself?
You can tell Audi own Lamborghini.
An open beer bottle in the cabin, Jay? That’s not wise in Deutschland, even if empty. Cheers!
Are they hot on that? I dont even drink so it didnt worry me!
I'm pretty sure if I saw this coming up behind me from a distance I'd think it was a Ford, with those headlights and that grill - it'd only be apparent when it got close it was something else. Seems like a design fail to just copy a design from Ford that Ford copied from Aston Martin.
The RS6, has a been a dream of mine since the 2nd version. Hell I loved my old c6 3.0d. They have slowly got worse and worse. I know the regs have hindered speed and noise. But options and interior design have reached a new level of shit. If I had the money, Merc or BMW would be the only German choices now. The attitude of fuck you have reached a new level. And yes, Audi those fake exhausts on everything and the S6 has lost me as a fan too. OK so that means nothing to you since I cannot buy, but still, I'm sure there are people who can buy your cars who will switch. "Our way or the highway" only works when your better than the competition
merc and bmw have even worse options and look shit and gay inside and out
@@kodz12345 how old are you? Have got any fluff downstairs yet?
Go to an Audi dealer and ask to sit in this car, i guarantee you, that you will like this interior. As far as the "my way or the highway", there are a ton of interior specs you can get this in, with different materials and styles when ordering this car. I dont see how BW or Benz would be any diff?
@@klubstompersI've been in the regular A6. I hate the stepped dash on the passenger side. I know all the German manufacturers do the same and I think WLPT has made this worse.
But come on, Audi and their exhausts are taking the piss
Man at the start of the video I was getting bullitt vibes dude!
That car sounds absolutely crap! What happened to the sound of the classic V8 engine? This sounds like a tractor.
rjdavies1982 Noise regulations, particulate filters etc etc
If u win that car the majority of people won't be able to insure it..buy the petrol or pay the road tax ..so u would have to sell it or take cash instead
Is leather overrated? I like leather seats but leather dash and door trims are a bit to maintain. I can do without to be honest
I feel the previous generation of audis had so much charm they were just something else that felt more than just an overpriced vw but this is just daft looking, it feels like its just trying to appeal to a broader market. Its really lost its charm this time around
I was so so close to last weeks BOTB, literally any closer and I’d have won. So frustrating.
Why does it sound like it has a blown exhaust?
Dream car! A red one, please!
Ill take the flat metallic silver/gray, that shows off the lines of the car.
The dash is plastic fantastic
Here I am watching just another Jayemm vid and up pops James Dean, the camera man. Met him a couple of times, he used to be mates with my brother.
Such a strange thing to see someone you recognise in a video online when you least expect it!
James Dean is many things, cameraman he is not
whats the top speed limit on the winter tyres? 280kph? Really?
Yeah 169mph
@@JayEmmOnCars Cool -- better than the winter tyre speed limit on the 2020 A6 I rented out of Munich airport then in december.
"does sting a bit"
hehe
I guess the RS6 performance could improve on it?
