I was really impressed with Pinkie Pie, her ability to keep secrets without the Pinkie Promise was really put to the test in this episode, and even though she almost cracked once or twice, she did a good job of keeping her wits.
Health inspector Gummy is the greatest headcanon ever but he’d have to be as sanitary as Caesar Zeppeli to get away with swimming in food
Maybe he has some kind of antibacterial coating on his body.

Actually, if you pay very close attention, Sweetie Belle’s head was held back a little, causing her mane to hide her cutie mark until she stopped and put her head forward a little bit

This episode actually cheered me up because it actually aired a week after my grandmother dieing back in October 2015. Thanks Pinkie. You might not be my favorite of The Mane 6 but this episode helped me alot with laughing at the random funniness!

Honestly, i also found the moment when Twilight&co harrasse Pinkie so she would tell them the secret she's keeping instead of understanding that, since it's a secret, she cannot share it with them quite infuriating, considering just a moment ago, they hammered that ruining the surprises of someone else is a really bad thing to do. Like, are they even listening to themselves?

+ 1 sin for being the first episode in Cadance's and Shining Armor's descent from two interesting characters with tons of potential to nothing but parenthood. They couldn't even spend a single afternoon away from the demon spawn without a mayor breakdown.
I still wonder if this would have been more entertaining if we, the audience, were also never told what the surprise was until the end. Or if that would have just made Twilight and Co seem too oblivious.

I suppose Sweetie Belle's briefly disappearing could count, but that's just a blink-and-you-miss-it animation hiccup.*
I'm surprised you didn't pick up on how Shining Armor managed to hear pinkie in the room before walking in and finishing her sentence as pinkie initially said "shining armor and cadence are gonna have a-" and shining armor continues "an awesome weekend"
I hoped in the end of the episode that Pinkie Pie finally told Twilight and the others the truth that she knew that Shining Armour and Cadance were having a baby in the first place because they could have realise Pinkie Pie's strange behaviour and why she was the one who knew the clues to the scavenger hunt.
