    Anybody that gets upset over turning as opposed to creating is splitting hairs. Weather you turn a bowl or create a knife handle, you have used your woodworking gifts and abilities.
    Beautiful job on the knife handles. I really enjoy how you mix colors. Wonderful work. Take care.

      @Elainetreadwell, That makes no sense. How is turning different from creating? Either way the wood has to be manipulated and you are creating something....

    Absolutely gorgeous work. I follow a RUclipsr named Shurap who makes incredible Damascus blades but never puts handles on them. Thanks for giving me an idea of how great his work would look if someone with talent was putting handles on his work.

    Wow! Those are absolutely amazing! That was looking really good, then you put the finish on and BAM! Then the polishing took it up another huge step. I love the turning, but it's also great to see your other projects. This was very interesting. Beautiful!

    They both look really nice. The knife handles I’ve made I soak them in orange and mineral oil over night then use the oil to sand from 600-12,000. But they were both knives for daily use. 👍🇺🇸

    Doug ya did it again, taking something you dont necessarily know what your doing with and making a VERY good product. Those are beautifully made blades and great work on the handles. As for those who might complain or leave cause you didnt turn something this time, well.....sucks to be them then, really. Its always nice to have a bit of variety in things.

    Doug. I've made a number of similar knives--usually with stabilized spalted wood or burls. Never thought of adding the honeycomb. Really nice touch.

    I loved how those "turned" out at the end. I worked in production boning for years and the grip does look pretty comfortable. And beautiful. Wouldn't mind watching another one of those. Keep'em coming!
