Around 3:07 (when the Thenardiers drop the silverware), in the high school production that I saw, the Thenardiers not only looked up, but also did the sign of the cross and sent a thumbs-up in the direction of the sky. I have to admit, the couple almost made me wet myself. But the worst part was that I knew the guy playing Thenardier, himself, and seeing him act like that...PRICELESS!
I LOVE this, but I wish they had played the silverware bit up a bit more. Jenny Galloway is fabulous, but mix her AND Sue-Jane Tanner, it would be magic. Also, this makes me want to do my highschool production again. I diddn't want tit to end.
+mega wonka fan They're partially responsible for Fantine's death, they abused Cozette when she was a child, they don't seem bothered by the death of their daughter and, if we go by by the book, their son, and they rob the schoolboys' corpses.
Uh, while I generally love this song, I think they camp it up too much here. I mean the Thenardiers are comedy relief, but they shouldn't be trying to steal the show. This felt almost like a self-parody.

One of my fave's from the entire play! These two are amazing! I LOVE Gary Beach! I got to see him in this role last year and he was soooooo great!
This is my favorite version of Beggar at the Feast both the singing and the comedy were great
Ashley Artus and Lynne Wilmot are better.
3:31 the entire fandom everytime master of the house is on.
Jenny Galloway is the best Madame Thenardier forever!
thanks for posting I love Adam Jacobs soo talented!!
Ya know what he means when he says 'This day's blessings are not over yet' ;) Oh my dirty mind!
I loved the one guy's reaction to "This one's a queer", he was like, "You son of a..."

.............aight you got me you got me.....
Hate them in the book, love them in the plays
@@sabrinamcclain162 That’s what makes them so lovable, there’s just so much to hate and they get off pretty much scot free every time
I just hate it in the story how every character the Thenardiers meet give them money, even though they see them for the ne'er-do-wells they are.
Yeah, too bad Gary hadn't done Les Mis before the TAC or else he should have been with Jenny in it.
Theme song for big company CEOs
If it were out of context, yeah

It's the same humor...
Ashley Artus for me is better.
Ashley Artus is a better Thenardier. Ashley was new real and definitive. This is pantomime and a bit ridiculous.
That Marius is awful :/
@Presguy
British production is way better and character funny...this is american lame humor
