What I'm saying is if I saw a woman walk up to another woman and basically say "I'm going to take your husband home with me and there's nothing you can do." I wouldn't be surprised if something happened. Not saying a bottle to the head because obviously a TV show is more dramatic than real life but long story short I wouldn't feel super bad if someone trying to ruin a marriage got somewhat beat up.
A right hook would be one thing. But a bottle? That could lead to a concussion, major laceration (head wounds bleed like a MFer even if minor, imagine what it'd be like if it wasn't minor), etc. Beth was right to be mad, but a bottle was taking it a bit too far.
A bottle over her head and then a sucker punch? This is why I avoid shows like this. Pure fantasy, but people think this is how one should handle such situations in real life.
Where do people think it's gonna lead up to? If someone is clearly taken and happy with it don't try and provoke their partners. Especially when they're in the same room. The fact that this chick was angry with the way this situation turned out is even worse. Don't provoke someone and expect them to be okay with it.

So then Danny asks, "Who won?!?" And the bartender says, "Every Guy in here!!" Out@#$%standing!!
Beth is a character that is 90% Id. Every time she does something it's to satisfy her own impulses and gratification. It's always been a problem for her.
Therein lies my problem with Beth. She can be very logical when she wants to be but when she goes into one of these tantrums, mood swing, whatever you want to call it, she leaves destruction in her wake whether it’s warranted or unwarranted and doesn’t care who she hurts. Now, I know it’s a show and that’s how she’s being portrayed but eventually the pendulum has to swing the other way. No one and I mean no one can continue to act like this and not face some form of consequence.
Crazy thing is Rip tried to de-escalate the situation and he warned little Ms floozy to back off but she kept on poking the bear. What did she think was gonna happen? Honestly though, this feels way too planned out and it feels like a setup. I guess we’ll see how things unfold from here.

I want to think this is a setup engineered by Caroline since she mentioned taking down Beth, but I'm not sure how. She doesn't know about Rip. He said it himself that there isn't any proof he exists and he and Beth aren't legally married, so there's no marriage license to link them either. I also have to wonder about the legality of this whole situation. We don't know what that woman said to Beth, and she was the one sexually harassing Rip. I'm not sure how she can press charges if she instigated the whole thing. I'm sure Beth will be fine because no one every suffers any legal consequences for anything that happens in this show.
Since when is putting her arm on Rips shoulder sexual harassment ?. Just asking. Now I get it if she asked him to have sex with her or she pulled his hand onto her breast, butt, or vagina.
The legality? It doesn’t matter what was said, you can’t hit someone with a bottle, period. That is aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. This show is ludicrous.
Starting a fight over words is illegal. First blow, first to jail. But a bottle is considered a deadly weapon. You can legally shoot someone for attacking you with one. But hitting the head is very HolyWierd, and in reality, folks get big brain damage or die from such. A person hit in the head might bleed real bad, with scalp and hair hanging, yet nothing permanent Or, a person might not have anything...No bleeding, no concussion...And they die later. Brain swells . It looks like they drank too much, drunk looking....And pass out/ die.

Yeah, this scene was over the top. Why would the whole bar get involved in a bar fight over two women having a cat fight? This was even before the choke hold.
why on earth do women only flirt these days if they are cheating on their boyfriend/husband or if they are trying to screw some other women's boyfriend or husband? the latter is far more likely to get their teeth kicked in. Beth aint this woman's husband she has no need to be a gentlemen, ie she can beat the piss out of her with no mixed emotions.
@@jaclynsanture6643 he deflected as best he could as a gentlemen, he even pointed to Beth when that woman was all over him, a signal of honey im innocent to Beth. and that stupid harlot actually walked up to beth and asked permission to fill in for her for one night as Rip's substitute wife. which we all saw how Beth responded. a lot less polite then Rip.
Every moment Beth is around is dull. Her character only starts/talks shit. That’s all she is. There’s no progression or growth in her character. Just a foul mouth twat. That’s not entertainment.
Beth's sense of entitlement is way over the top. Glad the story is the missus hit in the head with the bottle is laying charges. That could have been a really serious injury. Hahahaha, here I am talking as if it were real. Now that's the sign of a good writer and well acted.
Yes us Missouri peeps are like that. I was at a bar when a fight broke out, then the band started playing "Friday night alright for a fight!" Note: they said "Friday" because it was a Friday.
Yeah, there are times when Beth Dutton's tough, hard edge is admirable, and other times when it comes off more as sheer over-the-top stupidity. This was definitely one of those latter times.
Yup. She doesn't see it's OTT violence like this in the bigger picture that will garner public pressure, slowly but surely, from various angles, to hurt the ranch.
I thought the violent reaction from Beth in this scene was 1) lazy plot development, and 2) weak character writing. It may be a sign Taylor Sheridan is over worked with too much going on. In any case, this Beth is unstable, shallow, and violent…not a person smart and sophisticated enough to outwit a major corporation like Market Equities and their legions of lawyers. So here we go with a plot veer that does not pass what should be accepted as reasonable. Whatever, I still love the show.
The critics didn’t look upon this scene kindly either. A well written Beth would of fought her back with witty commentary first, until the woman flipped out and waved her friends over, or attacked Beth herself.
I'm also very disappointed with the kayce storyline... Basically every season they don't know what to do with him so they put his wife in the hospital. It's getting ridiculous, they clearly have no idea what to do with his wife and son.
I said all along... Beth and Rip are two messed up people. Murder, over the edge violent...But Rip makescit all look good, with a code....And smart, like the assasin he is. So very sick. But enertaining. At least, they all take care of the children like deadly bears, or wolves would.
Agreed! Like the plot line of Monica calling Kayce and saying she had 'cramps' before driving herself to the hospital. No 2nd time Mom would say 'cramps' or put herself, unborn baby, and her son in danger by driving so dangerously. And, Tate growing up on a ranch would certainly know how to drive and know the birthing process. Really lazy writing that is not accepted as reasonable is correct.
Yeah. The writing is so lousy anymore, since Season 3 in my opinion, but I can’t stop watching the series. I just enjoy the Montana backdrop and the cowboy atmosphere. Beth and Monica’s storylines make it hard to sit through though.
Ive been the guitarist before lol. As soon as i stepped on my distortion pedal for a heavy song a fight broke out right by the stage. Really helps your set if you keep playin hahaha

Beth and Summers fight scene is probably the best female one on one fight scene in a tv series this year if not ever. Not a martial arts fest but a straight up fist fight fought to a conclusion with no long cut aways and no do gooder stopping it. Just finished a rewatch of Las Vegas, so good. I even liked the later seasons with Tom Selleck.
Beth is a character that is 90% Id. Every time she does something it's to satisfy her own impulses and gratification. It's always been a problem for her.
People with that mentality often end up behind bars.
Who cares? She looks damn fine in that dress.
As John Dutton told her......"Impulse control. Find some"

I want to think this is a setup engineered by Caroline since she mentioned taking down Beth, but I'm not sure how. She doesn't know about Rip.
Ah, interesting....

Yeah, there are times when Beth Dutton's tough, hard edge is admirable, and other times when it comes off more as sheer over-the-top stupidity. This was definitely one of those latter times.
BETH IS NOT A HIGH IQ PERSON
