The point of DOING A COVER is to express it in a way which resonates with the individual who is doing so and not just playing and copying the original song which already sounds like what you already know. my grandma recently passed, I remember watching American idol during the season Casey was on, my grandma adored everything about him! and CCR has always been her favorite, so when he performed this song.. I swear I heard her replay it on RUclips for years afterwards. now I will remember her through this song, this voice. thank you for making time travel possible in some distorted way 🤎

I believe that with his incredible talent he will make a name for himself at some point in time. His musical talents include the voice that just goes wherever it should and sounds great. He doesn't fit the mainstream so perhaps USA did not know what to do with him.

AI has always been a popularity contest. I remember this season being a great example of what a retarded pop machine it is. Casey refused to sell out. He argued with one of them about doing Nature Boy, when the idiot wanted him to do a shitty Phil Collins number. He stuck to his guns and crushed it as usual, but the public agreed with the dick head on the show. He didn't win because he has integrity.
I agree....damn this is one good artist.....I'd go to his concert with him and his bass. I'm sure he could take many classic music to his style......I just hope he's doing what he loves these days.

And that is it. Here in europe we love casey abrams and we hope he soon is going to come to one of our arenas like Munich, Vienna, London, Berlin or Paris.
