I am a QA Engineer / Software Tester. I love my job and plan to help others through my RUclips channel just like yourself Asad. Great work keep it up ☝
Thanks dude and good luck with your channel 👍🏽
how hard is it to get into ? i have no gcses but want to work remote so i can live in thailand
@sebvaja8571 it is rather hard to get fully remote QA roles. Depends on the company really. Germany companies cant offer remote work from abroad for more than a couple months a year. So it depends on where you live
@@AsadKhan im based in the UK but want to be out in thailand atleast 6 months a year
@sebvaja8571 you’re gonna have to do some research about companies you apply to find out if they can offer such a setup
That's great💯 .. you can also share tips regarding how to shortlist companies, writing cover letter, resume, and finally interview hacks as well. Keep rise and shine brother😊💯
Great tips!
Thank you for sharing your adventure
Please keep sharing these kinda videos 🙏❤👍
Thanks for watching 👍🏽
Useful info.. Id like to know more about the pros and cons once in the field..what avtually goes into finding bugs..are these programming languages or apps going to change in the future is it worth learning
hi im starting my journey to be a automation qa, great video
Good luck
This is great Khan, I am looking for a career in Quality Assurance. Any tip would help. Thanks ahead.
nice detailed information
Thanks
Nice video. Do you recommend learning Selenium with Python or Selenium with Java? Which one is your company using? Thank you
I think Python is a good first language. Its much easier to learn and is less strict. A lot of people use python or java with selenium. We use testcafe which is a JS/TS based framework.
Nice
I took a manual Qa course, currently in the market applying. I know some sql, api, and a little automation well I know how to use the selenium ide function. Hoping I can land a contract soon.
Keep applying and at the same time keep up skilling yourself. You’re gonna find something soon. Good luck 👍🏽
what manual qa course?
Hlo brother i have from non it background with BBA
and i want to gain it skill and have zero knowledge on coding
I have interest to do software quality assurance course for 1 month from Nepal and do work as qa analyst is it hard for me please give me genuine answer
Good job! I am finishing my computer engineering degree. Now working as a manual QC and learning Puppeteer. Do you recommend I start studying another technology? Any other recommendations? Thank you!!
Congrats on finishing your degree! Playwright is the latest framework that is being used a lot in the industry so I suggest you learn how to use that too. Its much faster than all the other frameworks.
@@AsadKhan Thanks!! I will start learning
I was an automation tester, and I really hated my job. Thanks to me, I made a move to a dev role.
I have started to hate it too. Too repetitive 😅
Pretty good😊
where are you from
Very informative
Plus one sub for you
Thanks 😄
can you tell me that in how much time I can learn QA testing? I have a degree in computer science but I am not that much good in coding.
Take a software QA/testing course online, shouldn't take you too long since have a computer science degree
I’ve been applying to QA since august 2021 and have not found one yet :(( have a basic comp sci degree from an online school
Keep going. It took me 9 months of hard job searching to find a job when I first started. Getting your first job is always the hardest but pays off massively if you can keep going! 🔮
@@callummander are you a developer or QA?
@@musicandpoetry_8 I am indeed! :)
@@callummander what's the pay for QA?
@@Anjuanie hi! The pay for QA for a junior role is usually ~ £20,000 for the first year and then anywhere between £25 ,000 and £35,000 from year 2 onwards
Hi Asad,
Is UAT testing is like Manual testing?
It is manual testing yes
@@AsadKhan I see, Thanks!
Answer is pretty simple mindset should be like a tester 😂
I am new to this carreer and I do not have a computer science certification please, where do I start.
Getting a QA certification will take a couple months only. There are resources on youtube as well. I would say its pretty easy to get into QA.
Same here ,as I have BBA WITH finance which is from non it field but I want to do 1 month SQA course and work as QA engineer
Can I do this with 0 knowledge? And also having an online course of QA could find me a job online/remote? If yes, do you have any online QA courses that you could recommend?
Thanks for the video.
Can you do anything with 0 knowledge? I think not. You need training for it. Theres plenty of resources on youtube, no single course can promise you a job.
Guys, it’s possible join in the someone company after course ?
Yep
Hello, I'm interested with Manual QA, details please. ?
What details do you need?
I also wanna start QA or front end develpoer but i have zero experience. Watching random videos. It gave me hope when you said you also don't know about QA😅.
Suggest me something that can help me in this journey.because i know nothing how would i do that
do an online course like I said in the video :)
@@AsadKhan QA or front end developer ?
What would you suggest
@relaxyourself2183 learn coding then decide which way you wanna go
@@AsadKhan alright but i have zero interest in coding
@@relaxyourself2183 bruh did u start QA coz i also want to but zero knowledge about it and have no interest in code though i m computer engineering background
Asad make new video 📸
I feel like I’m screwed..I was getting interviews in the first five months or so, stopped hearing from them..I’m not sure
It took me more than 6 months to get my first full time role. I was working part time whilst looking for full time work. It does take time, try to get your CV checked by a professional, that could also be an issue and keep on upskilling during your job search. I know it can be frustrating but keep at it, you'll find something soon ;)
@@AsadKhan thank you..I feel like I’m not the best programmer but I’m working on it until I find something
@@AsadKhan ok so when I was going through my degree, I got A LOT of tutoring to help me get through writing the programs..this in turn, made me not gain a lot of skill in programming and to this day, I DONT GET IT, not matter how hard I try..I’m trying to learn front end web development as much as I can..so I feel like QA is my best bet..is there something wrong I’m doing that now I’m not hearing A THING from employers? I don’t have experience but I don’t know what else to do..why isn’t having a computer science degree enough for an employer to hire me as a QA engineer? Do you see my issue?
@@AsadKhan this has been a year and 8 months! Wtf
The job market is tough. Companies don’t look at degrees, they look at your experience so if you don’t have any experience in QA then you need to find part time roles in QA which will be a lot easier to do just like I explained in the video.
Isthere a possibility working part timein QA?
Yes 👍🏽
I have done the course but did not get job yet, no experience?
Doing a course doesn’t mean you will automatically get a job. Keep applying man.
do i need to learn any programming language to become a QA Engineer?
not necessarily but if you want to get in to test automation then you need to know programming
As a QA Engineer do you find yourself keeping up to date with your programming skills? Or do you find yourself constantly learning new things in QA and there is never enough time to keep your skills sharp in programming? Is it possible to do both?
If I understand you correctly, yeah in my current job there is enough time to learn new technologies and the company supports it too. That includes automation frameworks too.
@@AsadKhan I just heard about QA testing just yesterday. Had a family member who is a project manager tell me try QA Testing. Since they have seen me code for 2 years now. I've been reading things on Reddit and online what QA Testers do. I guess I am afraid of losing what little programming skills I do have. Because I hear you have to learn a process with something called Selenium?
Do QA Tester only use tools for checking the code base is there any coding involved like Unit testing? other than tools like Selenium? Sorry for the long rank I am still learning about what a QA Engineer is thank you I appreciate your feedback, thanks!
How will AI affect QA Eng. jobs?
It wont affect them at all. SQA is more a manual testing job. It is to be done by hand.
@@AsadKhan Thank you. I'm going to look further into this. Liked and subbed.
I often see QA tester jobs but no one has actually shown how it works. Can you give me an actual example?
Youll have to take a course on software testing to understand the job. But to give you simple example, we test new software features that are implemented along with some old ones which may be affected by it too. So if developers add a new login with facebook button to a login form, I will test that:
1. The login button navigates to facebook for authentication
2. When authenticated on facebook, user is logged in
3. When user enters wrong credentials on facebook auth, the login fails and correct error message is shown
4. Also check the regular login on the app or web app
The list goes on!
Sometimes backend is also tested to check that correct responses are being received on api endpoints. Then theres automated testing where some testing scenarios are automated so that during new feature releases, old features are tested automatically.
Is it a bit clearer now?
@@AsadKhan That's clearer. Got it. I thought it was going to be more technical than that. Anyway, I applied for a QA tester position, with just enough background in HTML, CSS, JS and some JS frameworks. Hope that's enough, for now.
@@AsadKhan This is so helpful. Thanks so much. I plan on applying for QA testing localization.
Why everyone prefer a developer role than QA,?
They think the developer is technically stronger than QA
Not everyone prefers a developer role 🤷🏽♂️
Yes but a QA actually ends up understanding the application than the developer because, it runs through the functionality of the document before running the test so,on the long run they do better.
Can u mention salary of QA engineer pls?
making a separate video for that also expenses etc
It requires coding or not?
Yes if you want to work as a test automation engineer. There are also manual testing roles not requiring programming knowledge.
@@AsadKhan who gets high salary?
@jimslyrics8071 automation engineer of course
Why do you sound so sleepy?
