This has been a big struggle for me...this video is superb. Now I have something I can spend the winter months working on that I know will improve my swing. Thanks so much for the info. I am a new member to your site and look forward to the instruction. Cheers!
Eric - This describes my issues perfectly. Your solution works really well. Love the use of the clock to control curve. Fantastic video. Thanks buddy! Jim
2nd reference on RUclips to lower left side initially to start downswing - Looking forward to incorporating it in my swing - love the way info is relayed and the way it is kept SIMPLE - as I sometimes over think what I need to do
@@CogornoGolf .. If you haven’t seen Padraig Harrington’s videos on the Torso and the Shoulders, you should. You guys are very similar with respect to shoulder tilt, pelvic tilt, and the move down with the front side to start the downswing. I see a lot of your teachings in his videos. Great info from both of you.
Another great vid. Lately I added a minor change to my swing after watching the heroes challenge. I realize a lot of pros actually put their body into the swing. Next few days on the range I added some “sway” into my swing. Kinda doing letter “J” from the face on perspective. I know u are not suppose to sway on my swing. But this gave me enough momentum forward with my body. The down and up again from my legs also help me drive another 10-15yd longer. Kinda relate to your vid about driving down and forward. I have issues with the golf swing starts at a static position.
No issues getting pressure more off the ball IF it helps you move more forward! The move forward part is leg negotiable but HOW you move back to get there is negotiable.
Fantastic video!!! Everyone should watch your videos. This is the secret move! Left knee, hip, and shoulder DOWN to start the downswing. I find that when the right hip rotates UP (if only slightly) during the backswing, it's much easier to move the right knee, hip and shoulder DOWN at the beginning of the downswing, I suspect you agree?
Thanks again for the guidance Eric. What amount of pressure should there be in the right foot, at impact? Majority of weight on left heel or should you still be driving towards the target with the ball of your right foot?

Raising the left shoulder too early has been my bugaboo for years & leads to an early extension problem. In my winter practice, this is happening less & less, but it is a persistent bad habit that is not resolved easily.
Hey Scott! I am not....my lead hand grip is slightly stronger so I can have a bit of cup and still have the club face square ruclips.net/video/S776LyvM6Pc/видео.html
Love this lesson but am having trouble executing. It appears to me that you almost go into a "squat". When I try to get that feeling, my whole body seems to lock up...or at least lose fluidity. I see other online instructors talk about the Sam Snead Squat...but their explanations don't work for me. I would appreciate it if you could talk about how to stay fluid while executing the squat. Thanks

Yes, my tendency is more under too BUT you must exit left with the hands on the through swing when your backswing feels more straight back. If you don’t your tendency might get the club head moving too much towards the ball. Nobody wants that and I won’t even say it. lol Thanks
Some of it Stanley, yes.....but too much will lead to same issues. Better with driver as it helps hit UP and swing RIGHT which helps with distance. Many players who are over the top need to FEEEEEEEL that tilt part more with driver
Milo says he “falls” into his lead side - keeps lead shoulder, lead hip low- and catches himself with a push off. Others say push off early - as your arms are still going up. Do you feel that in your swing too?
Hey John I feel the same as Milo the first part "Milo says he “falls” into his lead side - keeps lead shoulder, lead hip low- and catches himself with a push off." BUT....ive worked with many many players who need to feel a bit more push off trail side early (as they have none) and that helps initiate the movement forward. Very very little in the golf swing world will be the same for everyone in terms of FEEL. Can FEEL anything so long as movement good

Thank you, Brian! Hope it serves you well!
Great explaining. Thanks
You got it!
This video is timely. I’m First month with Cogorno’s online lessons, paired with Dennis. Great coach. Too far inside is one of my main problems.
Hey Cannon! Dennis is awesome👊
So great to have you on the team!!
Eric- Awesome video! Spot on!!
👍🏻👍🏻 Jim
Thanks, Jim!

For sure...any motor pattern takes time to change.....something "simple" about any of that part. Slow and steady.
Eric are you consciously bowing your lead wrist or is that just natural due to your rotation?
Hey Scott! I am not....my lead hand grip is slightly stronger so I can have a bit of cup and still have the club face square

The bad version with early tilt seems like what I should be doing with the driver. Am I right?
