Every time I see old David Blaine videos I just find it so amazing that he was so ahead of his time, the persona , presentation and mindset. And also what a troller taking cards out of his pants.
It was remnants of that annoying NY Club kid culture that they made that movie with McCauley Calkin in it but it's a true story too and they did go on Geraldo lol. 90s was a weird time. There were just the preps and the people who stopped giving a fuck. And it was also the golden era for underground rap and hip hop.

DB is sooo cool. A brilliant performance artist, magician, shaman....who works very very hard at what he does. He's not trying to deceive ....he often says " let me show you how I do it".. I love how he talks about magic tricks and the history of it on other interviews. His reaction when they get all loud... is wonderful. He remains composed. He respects himself and what he does.. I just love him.

The finale at 10:20 ...Comments here say this is pretty much just math.....maybe so.But if the two small piles of cards (let's call them B and C) and the rest of the remaining deck is A, then B and C will each be a number of cards from 1 to 10 but always a number less than 10. Assuming he starts with a deck of 52, the remaining deck (A) will always be no more than 32, but could be up to 50. The trick ends with pile C (1 to 10 cards) placed on top of the remaining deck A (32 to 50 cards) plus pile B (1-10 cards).In the end when he does the dealing off the top of that combined pile he is just dealing off original pile C that is now on top of remaining deck A plus pile B...so he is dealing off just 1 to 10 cards plus 2 more cards (ie. "THIS IS MY CARD" = 12 cards).Appears to me there is still a great degree of variability in the number of cards in both pile B and C to make this just simple math.
