Shelly’s laugh at the end of the episode reminds me of Joaquin Phoenix’s laugh from The Joker. She is so in shock that it led to uncontrollable laughter.
The entire series being Chuck wanting to see the same story playing out over and over again to justify his own actions is just… chef’s kiss. He betrayed and locked up his sibling and he sacrificed his son, and those scenarios playing out over and over. The fact that Mary’s death is what lead John down the path of metaphorically sacrificing his sons, and now Mary’s death again almost leading Dean to sacrifice Jack. It’s just sadistic and fantastic and meta af and I have a huge appreciation for what they’ve done here.
When I saw this in my feed, It took me a second to realize we're now moving into the final season and I started going "WHERE DID THE TIME GO?!" I feel like It was only yesterday when I caught up on your reactions to S5, now we're entering the final season.

Personally i think he likes the family against family story because they all mirror his story between him and amara. Basically god has an inferiority complex so when he sees people who could be better then him he goes out of his way to prove they arent. Thats ultimately why he is so invested in sam and dean. He wants them to fall and prove they are not better then him.
There is a great video/ summary of Chuck's character including this finale (but not season 15): "Chuck - A cruel, cruel, capricious God." or something along those lines :)

Controversial opinion, but this is one of the best season finales of the whole show of one of the best seasons of the whole show. That final scene is just damn epic, the soundtrack is AWESOME (love me some Motörhead) and the best thing is: I did not see that plot twist coming but in hindsight it makes so much sense, since a lot of characters from Heaven and Hell kept saying how cruel God is but to Sam and Dean he was this dorky dude baking pancakes. I love this episode so much and I love seing people react to the twist, so seing you laugh the way you did was great. It reminded me of my own reaction to this cliffhanger :D
I don't think this is a controversial opinion at all, many people like this season finale. As for this season, it is a definite improvement over the last few except maybe 11.
Lol i think sam and dean are just done with everything and everyone right now. Blow after blow 😅 It keeps coming. I don’t blame Dean or anyone for how they act. I would be going crazy at this point with the stress. Poor guys

I loved Cas this episode if we had just listen to him the whole time it would have been fine. Him and Jack would have gone into the cage willingly while Sam and Dean figure out a way to help him.
True but don’t forget they got in this mess because Cas didn’t talk to Dean & Sam at the start and the three of them didn’t work out a plan together about keeping Jack in check
At 20:05 "why he wants to see the same story over and over again boggles the mind!!" I can say the same about some supernatural fans who only wants the show to be about sam and dean and only sam and dean dying for each other over and over and for nothing to change 😂
I'm surprised that some supernatural fans start watching the show about Sam and Dean and insist that it shouldn't be the show about Sam and Dean and demand the show to change its whole premise.
@@janematthews3394 it's called expanding/enriching the universe and character growth, watching only two characters going through the same things making the same choices over and over for 15 years would be so boring, I can't imagine watching the same dynamic and the same story for 15 years if it was only Sam and dean, I would've dropped the show by season 3 but thankfully the show did introduce new characters and new stories and didn't completely listen to those fans 🥰 our family grew

I mean it makes sense why they did it, the big bad's kept on getting stronger so you can't get much higher than God. But Chuck has been an ally of the boys since he first showed up and he stayed an ally after the God reveal so the whole "Oh I was evil the whole time" just seems odd.
I hated this finale and these last few episodes. I hated how the writers took Dean too far in his anger and hated how pointless Sam was, like why was he even here? Also God/Chick being the last villain didn't sit well with me, they gave small hints to it but it still felt like it came out of nowhere and was only done cause they needed a big bad for the last season and rather than make a new one or set up a new one lets just make God evil, despite everything that happened in season 11.
Dean always had tunnel vision problems. I would have liked Sam to be a little more active, but to be fair, he also lost his mom and he talked to Dean even if he could have talked more. Regarding season 11 - Chuck, it does fit him that he wants to be seen as the hero and a Good Guy. If you think about it, he could have shown up and talked to Amara the minute she showed up. He didn't because it didn't fit the great story in his head. He needed the drama between the brothers, the end of the world - type of situation for his own desires. So that he could show up as the hero of the hour and his favourite show could turn out the way he wanted it to. He never did as much as he could have done to help. He preferred to sit back and watch until he felt threatened by Jack.
God Dean just really pissed me off this season. Like Mary got her dunbass killed that’s her fault, NOT Jack’s. Jack said to leave him alone and she didn’t listen. also just the way he’s always treated Jack was annoying.
I understand him getting mad, he lost his mother again, but Mary really should have walked away from Jack. If a normal human being can already freak out and hurt you, imagine someone like Jack

Then the writers decided at the last minute to ruin it for the sake of drama
