Ekashloki is a significant verse credited to Adi Shankaracharya, an esteemed philosopher and theologian in Hinduism. This singular verse captures the core of Advaita Vedanta, which is a non-dualistic philosophical approach. It highlights the oneness of the individual soul (Atman) with the absolute reality (Brahman), indicating that the perceived distinctions in the world are simply illusions.

Vedanta lacks explanation for many things we observe in the Universe. At the core, Vedanta claims that you are God yourself, trapped in this material world because of Maya, the illusion, and once you realize this, you will merge back with Brahman, the ultimate source of Reality. But Brahman is not a God in the typical sense, Brahman is not like Vishnu, Shiva, or Ram, Krishna, but Brahman is thought of as a formless, eternal, attribute-less unchanging reality.
However, in this Universe, we have observed many phenomenons that point to the existence of a God, a divine being, unlike in Vedanta where there is no God, just Brahman which is not like Vishnu or Shiva.
The reasons are that we can now see the fine-tuning of the Universe, which highlights how the constants of the universe-such as the force of gravity or the cosmological constant-are calibrated with astonishing precision to allow for the existence of life, a probability so low that chance seems implausible. Similarly, the probability of a functional protein folding correctly by random processes is astronomically small, as proteins require a precise sequence of amino acids to perform their biological functions. Cells, often described as miniature factories, exhibit complexity that rivals human-engineered systems, with molecular machines working in harmony. DNA, the molecule that carries genetic information, is essentially a code, comparable to highly sophisticated computer programming, containing instructions that govern life. These observations suggest that the material world, this Universe is not an illusion, but rather there is an intelligent designer behind the origins of our existence.
It suggests that God created this Universe, a God maybe like Vishnu, or Shiva, or like a Christian God, or a Jewish God, but a God nonetheless, no one knows the true nature and will of God, but with the scientific evidence we have uncovered recently, it points that there is a creator who created this Universe.

This is not the correct account of Vedanta. Vedanta accepts and elaborately talks about 'Eshwara' or the 'God' of the Manifested Universe. Also what Vedanta is saying is very deep. It says there is a fundamental reality that is beyond form which is within which Universe appears, and since everything is an appearance in this fundamental reality even we in our essence are the same.

@@adhvaitha In vedant philosophy, there is no God in the sense the average person views God. There is only Brahman, this Brahman is the funadamental reality which is formless, attribute-less, eternal, unchanging, etc. But, in Religion, God has attributes and a personality, for example, God is a personal being because he chose to create this Universe, God's attributes are that he is all-powerful, all-merciful, all-loving, all-compassionate etc. Brahman has none of these attributes or personalities in Vedant philosophy.
The Universe is seen as a manifestation of Brahman through Maya, while in a traditional religious view, God chose to create this Universe through his own will.
There are certain similarities between Brahman and God, both are eternal, formless, beyond Human comprehension, full of bliss, source of existence, etc., but there are also subtle differences. Brahman has no attributes, while God does, Brahman is not personal while God is, Brahman did not choose to create the Universe, it is merely a Maya, while God chose to create the Universe.
Hence why i mentioned, there People get confused with Vedant, they think that Adi Sankaracharya is talking about a being with a personality like in Hinduism with Krishna, or Rama, or in Christianity with Jesus, but in reality, Vedant mention that Brahman has no personality, Brahman is not a God like Hindus concept of God.

I beg to differ with ur views about bhraman..
Let me put my points one by one..
      1. First of all bhraman is nothing but Sanskrit name of The God..u call.
      2. Sankaracharya never invented Vedanta, rather he synthesized all the upanishad text and created bhrama sutra..(to avoid contradiction of different views).
      3. God/bhraman verily the cause and effect of this whole universe, created willfully this creation and life forms because at present he was bored of his loneliness so he wanted to become many( tat many is u & me,all us). Even though he created many his excitement is not satisfied so he keeps spreading the universe, many spices, different human nature's, one thumb impression is not same with others, one mind is not same as others...
      4. Bhraman/God/mahat/eshwar/ultimate reality/lord whatever u call it, created this universe out of his will,
      A. He experiences different emotions of human life through u and me,(joy, sorrow, anger, lust, ambition) he injects desires in our consciousness and get things done..
      5. In a simpler meaning An atom(bhraman) is experiencing itself through an Atom(self).
      6. The defining factor is Aham(ego).
      7. The concept of personified God- it's basic human nature to personify bhraman and worship accordingly. ( The way u approach bhraman is how it approaches u), personified worship is means of connecting to source. Like a river merges with ocean and loses its identity..but the purpose of river is to quench the needs of u & me, regardless of whichever river is approachable to u(religious means).
U need to read brihadaranyaka upanishad and chandogya upanishad, the authors of this are the god fathers of vedanta today... Initially there wasn't Advaita, it was introduced by shankara after harmonizing all Upanishads and their own views.
Vedanta is flexible my friend, there is no one word answer, it's all in what we can comprehend., tats the beauty

Being and abiding in the self is the key. And my question here is, how to change the unfavourable situations around you? Just by taking back ur awareness from the outside world and being aware of self consciousness is enough? If the outside world is maya/illusion, how to change consciously one's circumstances? Pls guide me in this. Pranams.

I have just started with the Brahma sutras commentary of Adi Shankara. But I suggest you study the original commentary and authentic translations. During that time, a certain class of society were not given access to the Vedas as their lifestyle, karmic propensities was not compatible for the study of Vedas in gurukuls. But there were always exceptions. Narada Muni, Vidura, were shudras who acquired jnana.

Sir in Advaita vedanta why it is accepted that the world ( prakrit ) is Brahman ( God ) if Brahman is also manifested world then will it not limit the Brahman ? Because this world is full of changes , sorrows or evil things. I don't want to accept this limited world as God i want God as pure without any limitations or changes
