I was introduced to Faouzia ( Foe zhi ah) by a then 13 year old Daneliya (Dan el yuh) Tuleshova from Kazakhstan. She sang an abbreviated version as her audition to AGT 2020. After her run she did a second longer version of the song after she had turned 14. I am going to give you the links for both of them just for you to hear this girl sing. To her credit Faouzia was impressed and sent Daneliya a IG telling that. She also did the same for the second version. The ladies were going to try and do a song together but things above their pay grade kept it from happening. Daneliya has a voice that just has something about it that draws you in and keeps you hooked. You don't have to react to her. Or, with your penchant for live performance you could react to her audition version and just listen to the other. Thanks for considering my request.

The lyric actually "...I'd give no less for you". This is tough song for me everytime I try to sing it
She's also studying for an engineer and plays the piano, violin and I don't know what else. She's ahead 10+years and super gifted.
I think drums? But definitely the guitar, violin, piano, and of course singing :)
She has Arabic influence so that’s kinda the fast vibrato.
She's arab basically.

@@narayastarks yeah but it's rare in western music when it's common in Arab music, I do have fast vibrato too, I don't know if it's because of Arab music influence or just born like that. but which is more amazing is her agility which is 100% from Arab Music influence.

What’s even more impressive is that she’s never had any proper vocal training. She self taught. Talent at it’s peak.
I believe shes the best singer of this generation.... Fun fact: she can do whistle notes!!! What can't she do??

she is 21 this year, but she wrote this song a couple years ago already. That's just how amazing she is, I love her so much and i love that a lot more people are gonna get to know her even more now.

When she belts with the fast vibrato, it reminds me of a Stevie Nicks type of sound.
Beth Hart is another one that has a fast vibrato that is utilized in such an amazing way.

I've heard 2 versions of the song and she repeats this inspiration in the middle of "Happen" which suggests that it's not a mistake, but the song is written that way.

Not sure if anyone's told you, or if you've looked it up, but she pronounces her name "foe-zia", emphasis on the first syllable. That said, I've heard other people speak it with a slight emphasis on the second syllable, in this really pretty way I can't hope to explain :)
I love Faouzie. She's fast become one of my favorite singers--favorite currently because of so many things, but one of several overall.
P.S. I've heard her hit a C6 before! (Two above middle-C) Actually, I've heard her go higher than that, into her whistle register. It's mind-boggling, and in the best way possible. At first I thought she was an alto. Now I don't know what she is, because I don't know where she's most comfortable. She seems most comfortable in that lower register, but that's only my guess.
Chase over here with the hilarious sad face on, and Melia over here flipping out over her vocals, the difference of their thought process 😂😂😂.
She's under the note a fair bit here, bit that's just what live singing is. She still sounds AMAZING, but she's human. I love that she released this so raw and I love her even more for it.

see the people you want to be jealous of as inspiration to get better at the aspects they're better at than you, not as a source of jealousy and insecurity. Art should NEVER be a competition. Once they stop inspiring you and just make you feel bad, stop following them until you adjust your attitude. Focus on singers that make you feel good, and on making yourself a better singer before going back to following them.
I agree with you that you can NEVER talk about who's truly the best. There are too many PHENOMENAL SINGERS and you always realize you forgot someone when you made your list. A fave is reliant on certain traits that mattered most to the listener, not on really being better.
