People nowadays are into pop in heavy metal which I think is dumb but that's my own opinion but what People listen to today doesn't have to necessarily be liked by everyone if people want music like this then it should be at least respected the death metal genre came out way before metalcore became a thing bands like slayer kreator venom mercyful fate founded death metal but bands like morbid angel and cannibal corpse took it to the extreme tbh people nowadays are so biased in the metal community it's kinda sad why can't we go back to when every metal genre used to be respected and all that but the world doesn't want that some people prefer to fight and argue about this type of music but people like me don't really care about any of that and just listen to the music the way it is

James is a monster. Impeccable timing, incredibly consistent dynamics and insane fills. Perfect fit for Decapitated! Btw, this song is so damn good. Definitely one of my favorite moments of the album. When I first heard the main riff it reminded me so much of the Winds of Creation album.
Obviously a fantastic playthrough. What I appreciate more is that, the kicks sounded like themselves, albeit with a bit of recording mastery, instead of like someone hitting a typewriter and speeding it up, i.e. no noticable triggers. Even in death metal and other extreme sub-genres, I much prefer and wish drummers would use the natural sound of drums. I realize most don't have a sponsorship with great drum companies so triggers become the obvious goto. But still, love to hear a more natural sound. Well done of course, Mr. Stewart.
