  • "Vaeety Braeu is a traditional Manx Gaelic folk song, arranged and recomposed by Patrick Wolf. The song was written by a man found in a coracle approaching the Isle of Man on a mission to emigrate from Ireland. Legend says this was the song he wrote to help him on his long one man row across the Irish Sea."

Manx Gaelic! Which is an ancient language of the Isle of Man. I think only a very small minority speak it there. Not to be confused with Gaelic which is the native celtic language in Scotland. Some people in the highlands still speak this language. I know because i'm Scottish and we get the odd Gaelic tv channel. ;)
