Fr. Mike encourages us not to be discouraged about the small things happening in our lives, because just as we see through Zechariah's visions, God takes small things and turns them into great triumphs. He also touches on the dedication of Israel to rebuild the temple, and the connection between the crowing of Joshua and the crowning of Christ the King. Today's readings are Ezra 5-6, Zechariah 4-6, and Proverbs 20:8-11.

Good morning, this been a little hard for since I am doing this alone but as gift to myself as a birthday gift. Something I want to do before God calls me home, since I am 81 years old. Day 269 - Wednesday September 25th, 2024 - The day of small things Yes, there is such thing. Sometimes just a smile, a good morning or are you okay to a coworker / neighbor might not be seen as a big deal but a tiny action of kindness can be a big thing.
Today's readings are Ezra 5-6, Zechariah 4-6, and Proverbs 20:8-11.

Holy Week. Happy Monday
Imagine… I am 55 years old. I’ve tried so many many times to read my entire bible but to no avail. Finally, I’m here, on Day 269. Been here since Day 1. With God, all things are possible. Without Him, I can do nothing.
Thank you Fr Mike for guiding me to understand what is read out loud; though I may be reading along with you, I understand so little without your explanation at the end. I’m praying for you & your team. Thank you for praying for us, for this Community.
And I’m 75…. On day 269. I can't believe I’ve done this. Thank you God for the gift of this BIAY! And thank you God for Fr. Mike to lead us. I’m praying for all of us on this journey.

And I'm 65 going 66. I've really enjoyed doing this. I've tried many times to read the Bible from cover to cover without success. So very grateful to have found Fr Mike and this series. I'm so looking forward to starting The Catechism in a Year next year and intend to revisit this series as well. God bless Fr Mike always.

Round Two
According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory:
Eternal Father,
I offer You the most precious blood
of thy Divine Son, Jesus,
in union with the Masses said
throughout the world today,
for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
for sinners everywhere,
for sinners in the universal Church,
for those in my own home,
and in my family. Amen.
In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20

Thank you and God Bless you Father Mike...Praying for you and for all who follow you on this Journey....Your office asked me how do I help out at my Church....I buy all the food for The Rectory, I buy all laundry products for The 2 in house Priest. I buy all products that clean the church's grounds and sanitized inside and outside Our Beautiful Church. I feed the entire Church Staff once a month and on special Days....I love my job at Church....
Wouldn't be doing this without you, we all need each other don't we ?

Thanks Fr for Bible readings. Fr. Please pray for myself a girl and all my boys son's, girls daughters. My father a boy, my husband a boy and all our sons and daughters boys and girls. My whole family, members living, deceased, sleeping, resting in peace of God almighty all boys and girls. I remember all men and women while praying for our son's and daughters. That we always should be like how almighty God created and blessed us to be always boys and girls. And never anyone of us should be doing anything which leads us to hells, death, darkness everything and everyone. And We all should be protected, delivered, kept safe and away from all evils, wicked's, bad's, wrong's, hellesh, sinful, enemies, hatfulness, jealousy, rottenness , hells everything's and everyone's with there powers of hells etc.of hells. Also non of us should become anyone of these completely hells.........I pray same above mentioned prayer request to Fr. ......... Remember all who needs prayers, deliverence, protection, help, guidance, rescue, love etc...........I remember all and pray for all who truly needs my prayers.

The dream about the lamp with 2 olive trees brings to mind the Apocalypse; weren’t Enoch and Ezekiel the 2 prophets who came to earth in the end times? The olive trees remind me of these 2 prophets who stood for the Lord. I love listening to you read, and stay up so I can have a nighttime “story”.

Still following the Bible…and how we all need this information..trying so hard to follow …our area is in a mess…may lose 5 churches…now sounds like parishes are against each other,,74 now wishing I had done the Bible sooner…need your prayers…need some good English speaking priest..bilingual is fine.
