Agreed completely agree with the interface on the dash, slightly clunky to operate. Annoying you have to be in track mode to turn off anti wheelie, then you have no clock... massive 80mph clutch up wheelies or a clock... Its a tough one!! haha
You can totally tour it. Did a tour from S. Mississippi to Central Arkansas and back in five days with plenty of riding and well over 2,000 miles in five days. That was on a 2015 Super Duke R. And was plenty comfy, no issues. As long as you stay away from Superslab and superslap speeds, you're good! 80mph and under, all is fun, above it, not so much.

I can recommend the full Akra and remap, makes the bike even better. More rawness and even better fueling. Also makes it around 6kg lighter as they remove the cat and SAS.
Hey Baron! I removed the butterfly valve, electric motor and cables on my Monster 1100 and it shaves quite an it if weight. I bought a little servo eliminator chip thing off eBay and the ecu and it works perfectly fine. Keep the non stereotypical exhaust. Akro pipes are Gucci and cool but why it do something different. Instead of springing for a Termi slip on I had a local bike builder make me a custom exhaust for the same money. Now I have an exhaust no one else has. Love the video as always!!

It's pretty shitty that KTM makes you pay extra for a dongle , to save your rider settings. There is no reason why it should have one. The ECU should save it, like almost every other bloody bike on the market. Ridiculous to have to pay extra for this item, for a top tier, top dollar bike like the SuperDuke.
Hi I bought a new BMW R1200R last year , I was at the tt 2 weeks ago & kept an eye out all the time for one of these , I thought the place would have been full of them but all I saw was the older model to my suprise , the place was full of aprillias & ducatis & loads of gs's also , I was thinking about a BMW s1000r for my next bike but still feel my r1200r is a better do it all bike in more comfort etc , but these ktm super duke R's are nice , really have to try get a test ride on one to try any see what I think of them , cheers from Ireland

That's the charcoal canister under the seat. US only 2014-2017 delivery bikes have them. In KTM's wisdom all bike now have them. They're not needed on UK, Euro and Aus etc.

I’m looking at a 2018 model now, it has the electronics, 16000km and asking price is 10k euro. Seems fair ? Has some small scratches on the exhaust and on the front panel just under the tank (pointy bit) , looks like it has been tipped over. Has had service recently. Things I need to look at with these models ?

My second bike was a 2005 Suzuki SV1000S with a full faring or naked if you choose , wish they would bring that back , it was the mix of the super sport and the comfort of having more upright bars , check it out Baron.

I currently ride a s1000r and love it for many reasons but that styling and noise of the aprillia really floats my boat.....although I only use it moztly for commuting.....however commuting has to be fun !

BUTTERFLY VALVE - Stop! That butterfly valve opens and closes during operation to change the back pressure, which helps to flatten the torque curve. It's used in racing applications, such as MotoGP, IIRC. You'd probably reduce your performance by removing this valve.

KTM: SLOW the dash night/day color switching and gas gauge readout to about 10-seconds for each riding--so it isn't alway saying light/dark on dash--or empty/OK with fuel.
on the Beast, the blue doesn't make as much sense because its more of their motocross blood with RedBull's graphics on their bikes. But i wish if they would use it, they make it make more sense, not just a blip here and a drop there.

I'm doing the NC500 on my 2017 SDR in 2 weeks..I'm also fucking dreading the M6...Kriega luggage is the best option, so that's what I bought, but it's trickier to fit due to there not being enough room to put the loops round the frame directly underneath the seat...that's my only frustration with my bike...otherwise I fucking love it..don't think I will go back to R1's and such now. And it's great to have you back too!!

Steve Middleton even with traction off, it wont let you lift for more than a few meters unless you have Track Pack... 😕
