Thanks for the video! First Majestic paid a hefty price for a mine with a declining profile. FM had a large cash reserve to avoid bankruptcy. And there were way better assets at more reasonable prices. So the stock price got hammered.
because the acquirer is generally punished in the market, short term, and the spot price of silver dropped 2% the day after the announcement, to add to the punishment.
The other issue I see is future uncertainty. Are we going to have a market rally like David hunter thinks and then a crash? People have said oh the yield curve inverting means nothing this time. It’s like if it’s 95% right like chances are we have a good recession coming at some point. If we have a good recession and stocks go down etc mining companies probably will fall a lot of price too. In a recession that’s when mergers should happen when stocks are cheaper. But maybe we don’t have a recession and it’s all up from here. Interest rate cuts should help stocks.

If it makes so much sense, then why did the stock get KILLED?

How is it that it makes sense when you have all your silver in one basket? The answer, or medication is PAAS.
Same here. I am so glad I loaded up PAAS and avoided AG like a plaque. Listening to Rick Rule paid off. My average cost is around 14 to 15 dollars.
Great discussion.
