imagine hearing this at night time, when none of your friends are online, and you are just wandering around your minecraft world. that would hit you in your feelings man
This song gives off a similar vibe to Sweden, so it gives off a nostalgic vibe. And I can say with certainty that this will be on nostalgia level with Sweden in 10 years
This song sounds like a song that would be in a stranded movie when your the last one alive and your just looking around at all the empty cities and no people kinda eerie and I love it lol
It gives off a very longing and lonely vibe. Imagine this; you're with one other person (could be anyone) on a boat in the middle of the ocean to escape the apocalypse (could be anything, a virus or zombies or whatever). One night, a very intense storm hits and your loved one goes overboard. Struck by grief, you hide inside the boat from the bad weather, where you stay
As if, we have gotten older. It's almost like to me, a continuation of before. You can never truly go back to once was but you can go forward. With all your experiences and engage in a hopeful future
Me and my dad used to play minecraft together. He loved baseball so he built a giant baseball stadium in a creative world and we blew up that world for fun. Eight years later, I decide to recreate it from a screenshot I found on my PS4. Block for block. Did it all in survival and even added new blocks to it. Sent it to my dad and called him and heard his live reaction. He started crying and laughing because he remembered me falling asleep on his shoulder while he was building the stadium. I specifically remember this song playing in the background while I built it, and I started crying because it made me remembered how special those times were and how I wished I spent more time with my dad before he and my mom got a divorce and we moved down south. My dads not dead or anything. He’s still alive and well, and I visit often. But this minecraft song somehow makes me revisit those special times late at night where I’m snuggling against my dad in a blanket at the age of 7. I’m glad I grew up with C418, dont get me wrong. But I feel incredible knowing a new generation of minecraft players today will look back on this song with nostalgia and emotion and remember special times like I did. Thank you, Lena Raine.
IT DIDNT FEEL REAL,,I WAS SITTING IN THE MENUS,,BROWSING MY PHONE. and i simply dropped my phone when it got louder and glazed at the screen with an empty head. It kinda felt like derealization a bit,, it was definitely a glorious experience :)
This song is simultaneously an intro to a post-apocalyptic movie where the screen is a birds-eye view of empty cities, an outro to an amazing space/sci-fi movie, and one hell of a masterpiece.
This feels like a song you'd hear at the end of a dream. It would play when you realize that you've been dream this whole time and you have to go back to the real world.
I once had a dream I was back in high school, and I was showing a new girl around. During the short time we ventured around the school, it had felt like we'd been friends for ages. At one point, she stepped into the hallway, but I didn't follow; in a rare moment of lucidity, I knew I was about to wake up, and sadly thought "goodbye" to her, and let myself go. I woke up feeling sad.
I always have thoughts at the back of my head of how life could very well be just a dream, all the experiences, all of the companions you made along the way, all the time, the energy, the passion, the love, the hurt, and everything in between, it was all just a dream, and after experiencing all of what you could in that dream, you wake up, and suddenly you are in a new home, with new friends, new family, new dreams and aspirations, but you still remember your dream, like it was almost still there, not your current reality, but it still feels present, just very distant from where you are currently, but suddenly you have completely different experiences, in the reality you were in, you can remember what happened, in the new reality, things have changed, but you still have a part of that past with you, but it is not close enough to get to, it just sits there in the back of your consciousness, you just can’t reach it. It almost feels like this could be a real thing, you will complete the dream and then wake up. It is almost hard to think about, it stings to think about it, and it just makes me wonder…when will I wake up? Holy s*** I just poured my soul into that… I’m going to go to counseling now… 🙃

I'm happy someone finally pointed it out! When creating backgrounds for these music loops, I based the blocks on where the song played. This one plays in dripstone caves often, so I was like, "I'll just make the dripstone block the thumbnail!" My brain completely missed that, perhaps, the song called Infinite *Amethyst* should have the amethyst block as the background. I can update thumbnails, but not backgrounds, so I at least fixed the thumbnail. A similar thing happened with the Axolotl track, whose thumbnail I updated after 1.17's snapshots released.
played 1.8 immediately with my friend as it came. This is one the songs which felt like it has been in the game since it got released. Feels so nostalgic for something yet new.
I start to play Minecraft when I was 10 years now I am 20 and that looks like so long ago. I can't imagine myself listening this song in other 10 years, maybe it will be kind of sad but happy at the same time. I love so much Minecraft
This soundtrack is making me imagine a scene where the main protagonist and his new friend look up at the stars. They talk about how they can accomplish anything. But the friend says to the protagonist not to feel shame in moving forward. The protagonist is confused but turns to his friend in shock to see that his friend has transformed into an unknown spirit and not just any spirit but his long-lost friend who died protecting him. His friend smiles warmly and says "thank you for making me remember who I used to be." "Thanks to you I have forgiven myself." They slowly walks to the cliff and runs (when the music gets higher) and starts running and disintegrating into stars at the same time. Protag watches from afar He is silent as he hears the words. "Until you and your friend find the source, I'll wait as long as I can." *yeah I feel like I should make a Wattpad story about this*
This is just a work of art. Just as how C418 caught me with Mood City 3, Sweden, Subwoofer Lullaby, Wet hands, etc, Lena Raine has hooked me with Pigstep, Otherside, Chrysopoeia, One More Day, and now this. I vote this as on the same level as every other classic VGM tune.
I love this song. I like the new Minecraft terrain and music. I checked out the new snapshot the other day, and it was just amazing. love it. I just know that this update will change the game as we know it forever. It might be one of, if not the most impactful update. Can't wait until December (2 months :0) for the release!
This feel like you always watch youtuber beat The End,and you ask your friend to beat it together, until your friend has quit or gone, you beat The End with yourselves.Remember all the sweet moment with your friend,it happen to me,and now i dont have friend because all of classmates doenst like minecraft like the old one.
this is truly an amazing song, it will stick with me for the rest of my life. i was with my grandpa in the hills of nevada hiking up, just listening to random music and then this song, started playing. it was the most surreal experience i've ever had. being on this very tall mountains, exploring abandoned mines, while this song was playing was like playing minecraft irl. i will never forgot that moment
This song, it feels like how it is to experience love and lost. The beginning is soft, whimsical as you discover a new world and friend. As it builds so does the memories, the bond you share with them, discovering the wonders of the cave and of life. When it slows down it’s a reflection of what you have been on, for your time goes shorter each moment. Picking back up is like a mad dash to do all the things you haven’t done and redo things again in a different way, a way that can have even longer lasting memories. Then, when it goes silent, that’s lost. The cold feeling of no campfire lit, and no friend to share the space with you. You are alone. With loss and grief overwhelming you like the darkness in the cave. Until those chimes, lead you out of the dark cave, back into the sunlight, you take one last look, seeing your friend there, but knowing he can’t come with you. No words are said, but a thousand words are spoken through the look you share, as you make your way back up, and they disappear, gone, but never forgotten. May you move on and live a life well, knowing the one you grieve for would want that for you. Even if then never got to express it.
My 2 favourite things to find and do on Minecraft 1.18 is to customize the biggest dripstone cave ever and to make a giant Amythest geode in the cave with an already generated one in the huge cave. This song combines those terrific two together 100%.
it feels so empty but encouraging before 2:30 hits, then your back at it again with friends having a blast for just a bit then it repeats, like every Minecraft server you've ever made or played.
This song literally feels like time travel in music form. Some parts have an old recorder feel from like 40 years ago, others are futuristic sounding and the present in the middle of the two. It literally goes from past to present to future the way this song was built up/composed. It makes the song more emotional than it needs to be. Good luck reading this without a seizure.
1.17/1.18 ought to be my favorite updates of all time. We begged for a cave update for so many years, and we finally got it. The new songs, caves, and blocks have a charm to the them I cannot explain in words
Finally after years without worthy new soundtracks like Sweden, Subwoofer Lullaby, Minecraft, Living Mice, Haggstorm, Mice on Venus, Wet Hands, Mutation and Beginning 2 a new song the height of these came to the game and along with it came also the magical and nostalgic feeling that only Minecraft makes us feel.
This definitely fits the caves after all it's called infinite amethyst either way I feel like this song will be like it's exploring the big caves and finding amethyst geodes
This just makes me think of me climbing the tallest mountains in Minecraft 1.18. I love listening to the beautiful song while climbing these mountains in survival. It’s gonna be so nostalgic in years from now.
I was just.. waiting on the menu screen. I don't know what it was.. But this song, on some strange level.. in a strange way..... It moved me, I don't know what it was.
it feel like seeing the horizon in the sunset, alone, all you full netherite set, nothing to do killed wither and dragon a lot of times, and a lot of automatic farms, everything in hardcore mode
I think what makes this song seem so nostalgic, even if it is quite new, is how reminiscent it is of the earlier c418 Minecraft music, compared to the later C418 and current Lena Raine soundtrack. The thing is, modern Minecraft and Minecraft, lets say, pre 1.8, are completely different games. Early Minecraft was a very simple game, with a focus on building and creating your own fun. C418’s soundtrack encapsulates the game’s aesthetic for this era. The music is calm but also simple and kind of minimalist. It can feel a bit lonely, which I think we could all relate to after wandering around a world from that era. The game felt very empty, very open. By contrast, since about 1.14, updates have often been focused on adding new gameplay aspects and systems to Minecraft, for example raids. As is especially evident in Caves and Cliffs, the game seems to have a focus on exploration. Lena Raine’s tracks fit this development of Minecraft very well: A lot of people have said some, notably Stand Tall, are similar to sound design from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. All the music seems to draw images of sweeping landscapes and vibrant biomes, rather than the calm, simple atmosphere of the earlier music. As old mechanics and content are updated to fit the modern game, eventually it may become unrecognisable as the game we remember it as. That’s where Infinite Amethyst comes in. This tune has the same calm, melodic simplicity to it as classic Minecraft music, but it feels slow and melancholic. Almost like it is saying farewell to Old Minecraft. A final salute to the way it began, before the game strays of into pastures anew. Of course, the history of the game is viewed through the rose tinted spectacles of nostalgia, and I’m not saying that Minecraft’s ‘classic’ gameplay or atmosphere is gone. The development straying away from the original concept is frankly a good thing, and definitely to be expected for a 10 year old game. I wonder where we will be in another 10 years. I’m just observing that this music seems to hark back to the origins of the game. Sorry for the wall of text, thank you if you read this far 😊
All your comments brought me to tears. I've only had Minecraft for a little while, but the songs are already nostalgic. C418 and Lena Raine did an amazing job on these songs. Infinite Amethyst is one of my favorites. Thank you soooo much for this.
Can everyone just take a moment to not only just appreciate how amazing this track is but how wonderfully amazing Amythest truly is to this update. The sounds it makes and the building opportunities you can use it for are absolutely stunning and magnificent.
they didn t think about that as it "plays in groves and dripstone caves" also not true as i bet if i go over my dripstone cave under y 0 it will play in ocean biome
I was just there... on top of a snowy mountain... I felt... I felt complete.... there was no worries, just me and the snow... the views... god I love this game... so much....
I cannot put into words how glad i am that minecraft got revived. I was devastated to see how dead the community and everything around it was. I thought it wasnt ever gonna be like the prime times,,but man was i wrong. As much as i despise dream,, i gotta admit,, him- and pewdiepie brought back minecraft. And i know ill be missing these days in a few years :)
this is going to be one of those songs that will make you nostalgic 10 years from now.
Just like sweden :') I remember making my ugly wood house when I was 6 . Brings so many memories back .
This is already my favorite music added in 1.18 (and new overall)

this song already makes me nostalgic i dont have a slightest idea why
Love the profile pic
guys he clickbaited us it's supposed to be amethyst (love that you made this a loop)
I'm happy someone finally pointed it out!
When creating backgrounds for these music loops, I based the blocks on where the song played. This one plays in dripstone caves often, so I was like, "I'll just make the dripstone block the thumbnail!"
My brain completely missed that, perhaps, the song called Infinite *Amethyst* should have the amethyst block as the background.
I can update thumbnails, but not backgrounds, so I at least fixed the thumbnail.
A similar thing happened with the Axolotl track, whose thumbnail I updated after 1.17's snapshots released.
@@AgentMS that's a smart idea
I love the majestic atmosphere this creates. It's beautiful. I love it :)
played 1.8 immediately with my friend as it came.
His friend smiles warmly and says "thank you for making me remember who I used to be."
"Thanks to you I have forgiven myself."
They slowly walks to the cliff and runs (when the music gets higher) and starts running and disintegrating into stars at the same time. Protag watches from afar
He is silent as he hears the words.
"Until you and your friend find the source, I'll wait as long as I can."
*yeah I feel like I should make a Wattpad story about this*
Idk why but this song fills me with a feeling of hope, mysticism, and foreboding
She did a great job capturing the sound that some of the older songs have. Its probably not meant to sound sad but it does.
It hurts my head, I don't know why tho. I feel alone, sad. But I found some comfort from listening this
Once this gets old
It'll also hit you and Give nostalgia
Like C418' songs did back ago
C418 will no more make music for Minecraft?
Yep :(
@@Barsatko yes maybe because he don't show any interest making for Minecraft after Microsoft buying Minecraft.
I love this song. I like the new Minecraft terrain and music. I checked out the new snapshot the other day, and it was just amazing. love it. I just know that this update will change the game as we know it forever. It might be one of, if not the most impactful update. Can't wait until December (2 months :0) for the release!
This is really Porter Robinson-esque and I love it.
I felt that on such a personal level
Nostalgic masterpiece, listening to this for sure, I'm just sad Lena and C418 can't do a collab because of microsoft :(
She also working on 1.16 ost
and all other nether music...
Dont forget otherside
Why does the song sound depressing but I like it :) it’s my favorite song now!
Yeah, it does sound depressing but it also has a feeling of moving on, I would say
This song is the feeling of wandering around your old Minecraft world that you and your friends used to play on every day…until you didn’t anymore.
this is truly an amazing song, it will stick with me for the rest of my life. i was with my grandpa in the hills of nevada hiking up, just listening to random music and then this song, started playing. it was the most surreal experience i've ever had. being on this very tall mountains, exploring abandoned mines, while this song was playing was like playing minecraft irl. i will never forgot that moment
Dude this has such a depressing vibe but super chill to actually chill on you know 🤧
This song literally feels like time travel in music form. Some parts have an old recorder feel from like 40 years ago, others are futuristic sounding and the present in the middle of the two. It literally goes from past to present to future the way this song was built up/composed. It makes the song more emotional than it needs to be.
Good luck reading this without a seizure.
after 10 years...1.29-1.30...you hear this song and reminds you of 1.18
1.17/1.18 ought to be my favorite updates of all time. We begged for a cave update for so many years, and we finally got it. The new songs, caves, and blocks have a charm to the them I cannot explain in words
This song gives the nostalgia on how far you have been through out your whole journey and never gave up…
Finally after years without worthy new soundtracks like Sweden, Subwoofer Lullaby, Minecraft, Living Mice, Haggstorm, Mice on Venus, Wet Hands, Mutation and Beginning 2 a new song the height of these came to the game and along with it came also the magical and nostalgic feeling that only Minecraft makes us feel.
This definitely fits the caves after all it's called infinite amethyst either way I feel like this song will be like it's exploring the big caves and finding amethyst geodes
Lena Raine is probably one of the only artist that make brand new songs sound so nostalgic
Like wtf how is that even possible
This is very comforting and mellow..
Amazing.
Agreed
This just makes me think of me climbing the tallest mountains in Minecraft 1.18. I love listening to the beautiful song while climbing these mountains in survival. It’s gonna be so nostalgic in years from now.
I was just.. waiting on the menu screen. I don't know what it was.. But this song, on some strange level.. in a strange way..... It moved me, I don't know what it was.
sounds like a song at the end of a game that took a super long time to beat
This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard.
One of the bests songs minecraft ever had
I love how this song echoes like it is echoing against the amethyst. And this song sounds so sad but hopeful :)
it feel like seeing the horizon in the sunset, alone, all you full netherite set, nothing to do
killed wither and dragon a lot of times, and a lot of automatic farms, everything in hardcore mode
I love how some Lena raine songs fit the footsteps of C418 like this one, but some also show that she is stepping into the future
why does this feel familiar, like a dying light soundtrack
I heard this when I loaded in and I knew it, it sounds just like the main dying light song
person of culture
7 Years From now We Will Call This Nostalgic.
Me still wondering why they put a drip stone block and not an amethyst block when it’s called infinite amethyst… 🧐
they didn t think about that as it "plays in groves and dripstone caves" also not true as i bet if i go over my dripstone cave under y 0 it will play in ocean biome
The thing about Minecraft’s music is that it’s so full of emotion, I feel guilty for all the time I played minecraft with music turned to 0%
Bro why does this song make me fall into the feels. Im just going to lay on the floor
and let it play.
You know, I was skeptical when I heard of new Minecraft menu music, but I gotta say, they delivered.
Lena Raine will never capture the nostalgic feeling of c418’s music but dam Lena is the perfect candidate it’s like handing a baton
I keep hearing "It's fi-na-lly over" with the notes
great now I can't unhear it
I am having a hard time trying to hear that.
I can't unhear that now
Damn it I can’t unhear it now
Where the heck did you get that from
I was just there... on top of a snowy mountain... I felt... I felt complete.... there was no worries, just me and the snow... the views... god I love this game... so much....
what about the snow that sinks u
Idk why but... everytime i hear this i cry 😭
Thank you so much for making an extension of this. It's one of my favorite of the new-ish mc soundtracks.
I love this song. Definitely my favorite song in 1.18. Listening to it on the menus is fire.
When the update came out I used to hate the new music but now I realise it has something in it.
This soundtrack gives me “It’s end of the world, don’t blame yourself.” song vibes and puts a tear in my eye, yet it’s so beautiful. 😢❤
This is so good and when I heard it in game I knew I had to find it.
I thought this sound was a horror series intro, but then i heard it in minecraft. I like it
Broo this music is straight fire like i cant even express how im feeling when i listen to this
thank you for making this Lena Raine
If the emotion that comes with seeing the words "last online: 9 years ago" was turned into a song, it'd sound like this.
