Excellent. Definitely want to do this. However I don’t think you are close to San Diego.
Putting the loud fan in the kitchen is asinine when you see how simple a better solution can be. Wish this approach was more widely known.
Can you do this but through the gable vent ?
No. Just have another vent added for the kitchen hood duct.
